Prove to me That You Are Not Working With Our Enemies
In November 2006, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), the first Muslim U.S. congressman, appeared on Glenn Beck. During the interview Beck told him, "I have been nervous about this interview with you because what I feel like saying is, 'Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.'
"This prompted Jon Stewart to comment, "Finally, a guy who says what people who aren't thinking are thinking."
The incident earned Beck a spot on the alternative weekly Buffalo Beast's list of 2006's most loathesome people. The paper wrote, "It's like someone found a manic, doom-prophesying hobo in a sandwich board, shaved him, shot him full of Zoloft and gave him a show."
Botched Hemorrhoids Operation
Beck started out 2008 as the victim of a botched hemorrhoids operation when what should have been a routine outpatient procedure sent him to the hospital for five days. In the hospital, the serious painkillers he was on led him to contemplate suicide.
A video of Beck, unshaven, disheveled, bleary-eyed and with his head propped up on a pillow as he told his fans about his disastrous health care experience, became a YouTube sensation in early 2008. And now today, Beck is saying the USA has the best health care system in the world for political reasons.
Insane Beck Statements
In 2003 Beck said, "Every night I get down on my knees and pray that Dennis Kucinich will burst into flames."
In 2005 Beck said, "I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it."
In 2005 Beck said, "When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, 'Oh shut up' I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining."
Beck was talking about women who had husbands die in the 9-11 terrorist attacks. They were asking president Bush to come clean about what he knew before 9-11, because they had found out Bush lied about not having any warnings before the attacks.
They were called the Jersey girls, and all they wanted was for president Bush to tell them the truth. They found out Bush had a PDB before 9-11, a presidential daily brief, warning that Bin Laden was going to strike in the USA, and that he was planning to use airplanes.
Bush denied he had any warnings, so they called for the truth, and Beck told them to shut up. And now he wants Obama to tell him the truth, so I say this to Glenn Beck, shut up, I am tired of your complaining.
In 2005 Beck also said this, "The only Katrina victims we're seeing on television are the scumbags."
In other words, if you are poor and you get caught in a 100 year hurricane, because you can not afford to leave, and or, you have nowhere to go, you are a scumbag to Glenn Beck. While now he claims to defend the little people, except back then he called them scumbags, for simply being poor and victims of a hurricane.
In August of 2009, Beck called President Obama a racist who hates white people. Since that day 20 advertisers have pulled their ads from his show. Proving that he is a right-wing idiot, especially when a year ago Beck said Obama is pretty much white, and refused to even say he was a black man. Not to mention it was just a ridiculous statement to get publicity, and it backfired.
Sick Twisted Freaks
Did you know the Glenn Beck Fans are called Sick Twisted Freaks, it's true, Beck himself even gave them that name. They have a Sick Twisted Freaks myspace page with 1,100 friends, a Sick Twisted Freaks Facebook page with 11,500 members, and a Sick Twisted Freaks forum with 101 members. One forum posting by a member even admits that Beck is insane, but claims he tells it like it is.
