Glenn Beck Left Out Of Fox Newspaper Ad By: Steve - April 30, 2010 - 9:30am On Thursday Fox News placed a full-page ad in the print version of the Washington Post calling the network "The Most Powerful Name In News." The ad features Fox personalities Bret Baier, Shep Smith, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren. But guess who is not in the ad, Glenn Beck.  So why did they leave Beck out of the ad. It's not like the shot was too crowded, there's an open spot for him to be put in between Smith and O'Reilly. Not to mention, three of the people in the ad, O'Reilly, Hannity, and Van Susteren, are not even considered part of the Fox news operation, which runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. each night. Beck has claimed that network executives stand behind his controversial, insane propaganda, with one vice president even telling him that he is the key to surviving a global economic holocaust. But if that's true, why would they leave Beck out of the ad. Most likely because they are ashamed to have him on the network. They know he is loved by the right-wing nuts who watch him, and that he gets great ratings. But they also know they do not want to be seen linked to Beck in their ads. It's kind of like the crazy uncle everyone has, the family loves him, but you are ashamed to be seen with him in public. That's Glenn Beck, he is the crazy uncle at Fox News. James Cameron Calls Beck A Danger To The Country By: Steve - April 27, 2010 - 8:30am Basically Cameron said that Beck and most of the idiots on the right that deny Global Warming is real, are hurting the country, and that our children, and their children will pay the price for their ignorance. Here is my point of view on Global Warming, about 90% of the Climate scientists agree that it is real, and the other 10% that deny it, get money from the gas and oil companies. So I believe it is real, especially after I saw scientific evidence that it is real, when I saw that two thousand year old ice had melted, and they were able to look and find historic relics that were thousands of years old where the ice used to be. So I say we should do something about it while we can, because if they are right and we do nothing, then we wait 20 years to do something, it may be too late. And if they are not right, all it did was cost a little money and create some jobs, not to mention making the air and water cleaner, which is not a bad thing. Now the right-wing liar is saying that there has been "zero warming for over a decade" and that climate change is a scam that has been totally discredited. Beck said this on Friday: BECK: Now he is trying to jam at least two more wildly divisive issues down our throat. First, cap-and-trade. Cap-and-trade is the biggest socialist scam, totally discredited climate change industry and zero warming for over a decade. Zero warming for over a decade. Wait until I -- I don't want to say too much.And now the facts, something Beck knows nothing about. NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), The U.K. Met Office, and the World Meteorological Organization have all stated that 2000 to 2009 was the warmest decade on record. In a December 4, 2009, letter to Congress, 29 prominent scientists, including 11 members of the National Academy of Sciences, stated: "The body of evidence that human activity is the dominant cause of global warming is overwhelming." More than 1,700 scientists from the United Kingdom signed a statement responding "to the ongoing questioning of core climate science and methods." The statement said: "We, members of the UK science community, have the utmost confidence in the observational evidence for global warming and the scientific basis for concluding that it is due primarily to human activities." On December 4, 2009, the American Association for the Advancement of Science stated that it "has reaffirmed the position of its Board of Directors and the leaders of 18 respected organizations, who concluded based on multiple lines of scientific evidence that global climate change caused by human activities is now underway, and it is a growing threat to society." So here is my question, who are you going to believe, thousands of Climate Scientists from all over the world, or Glenn Beck. Here is what the insane Beck said: I am shocked that this idiot keeps lumping communists and Nazis together, when in fact, the Nazis grew out of opposition to the spreading of communism, and once the Nazis got control of the German government, they immediately arrested all the communists, then they outlawed communism. I watched about 5 minutes of that stuff from Beck on Wednesday, and all I could think of is how is this guy not locked up in a mental institution somewhere. Beck Now Claims God Tells Him What To Do By: Steve - April 21, 2010 - 8:00am The insane-o-meter is now at 10 for Glenn Beck, yesterday Beck spent a big part of his ridiculous radio show telling his braindead listeners that God talks to him and tells him how to lead his life, and run his show. In this scary audio clip Beck talks about how God told him Van Jones was evil, as Beck said it, Van Jones is an enemy of God. So he turned to the Bible for guidance on what to do about it. And btw, if you think God talks to Glenn Beck, you are as insane as Beck is, and if anything, I would bet Glenn Beck would be on the do not talk to list for God. Then it gets even more insane, in this audio clip Beck claims God is giving him a plan, to stand peacefully and quietly, but with anger. And I bet he also believes the tooth fairy talks to him too. I bet the God and Guns crowd just love this garbage. For anyone who reads this, listen carefully. Karl Rove Caught Lying About Obama Raising Taxes By: Steve - April 19, 2010 - 9:00am Watch for this right-wing talking points lie, because you are going to see it reported everywhere, but only by Republicans, and it's already started. Last Friday on the Hannity show Karl Rove said President Obama is going to raise your taxes, so you would think that means he is going to write a tax increase bill and have Congress vote on it, then sign it. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Rove is saying that if Obama allows the Bush tax cuts to expire, it means he is raising your taxes. Which is a flat out lie, and not even close to the truth. It's nothing but right-wing spin to make people think Obama is going to raise their taxes, which he is not going to do. Rove dishonestly said this: "It's a tax increase if you allow tax cuts to expire." That is crazy, especially when the Bush administration and the Republican Congress are the people who put the tax cut expiration in place. So Obama is not doing anything, he is just letting the Bush tax cuts expire, which is what THEY put in the bill. If they do expire, it's because Bush and the Republicans put the expiration date in the bill THEY passed. The 2001 Bush tax cut bill states this: "All provisions of, and amendments made by, this Act shall not apply to taxable, plan, or limitation years beginning after December 31, 2010." The 2001 tax bill passed the House and Senate with almost unanimous Republican support. The 2003 tax bill -- which also passed both houses with almost unanimous Republican support -- incorporated the sunset provisions from the 2001 tax bill. In fact, in a May 2001 article the Washington Post reported this: Sunsets allowed the GOP to "boost the size of the tax cut while hiding its true cost." So Bush got an even higher tax cut passed by putting the expiration date in the bill, or else it would have been lower, and almost no Democrats would have voted for it. And when it does expire, the only person to blame is George W. Bush and the Republicans who put the expiration date in the bill. Not to mention, Rove also lied that letting the Bush tax cuts expire would amount to a tax increase for everyone. That is also a lie, because Obama has said he will only let the Bush tax cuts expire for people that make over $250,000 a year, so Rove also lied about that. From Obama's FY 2011 budget: In the last Administration, those at the very top enjoyed large tax breaks and income gains while almost everyone else struggled and real income for the middle class declined. Our Nation cannot afford to continue these tax cuts, which is why the President supports allowing those tax cuts that affect families earning more than $250,000 a year to expire and committing these resources to reducing the deficit instead. This step will have no effect on the 98 percent of all households who make less than $250,000.Read that carefully, and remember that this proves Karl Rove is a dishonest right-wing partisan hack, and he works for Fox News. Think about this too, they let him constantly lie on every show they have, even the O'Reilly Factor, which claims to be a no spin zone. A real news network would tell him to stop lying or you will be fired, Fox does no such thing, in fact, they support him 100 percent. That is why they hired him, to lie about what Obama is doing, and lie about what Bush did. And all during the time they support his lies, they claim to be a fair and balanced news network that tells you the truth. Now in April he is down to 2.0 to 2.5 million total viewers per show. Over the last four months, Beck lost about one million viewers a night. Glenn Beck has spent the last four weeks with between 2.0 million and 2.5 million viewers. Funny how he never mentioned that, he is just like O'Reilly, they only mention their ratings when they have a temporary spike up, but when it spikes down you never hear about that. I am guessing Beck lost that million people a night, because they woke up and noticed that he is an insane right-wing liar. That means anyone over the age of 65 you are screwed and on your own, even if you paid in for 40 years, Beck says so what. And I can tell you this, my Father is 87 years old, he gets Medicare and Social Security, and without it he would be homeless, or dead. Because he spent every dime he made, so he had no savings, and the pension he gets from International Paper is a joke. His pension is less than $400.00 a month, even though he worked there for 37 years. If you want to see a real death panel, end Medicare and Social Security, you will have senior citizens dropping like flies, or homeless, or both. Without Medicare and Social Security he would be up a creek without a paddle. But Beck and a lot of Republicans want to end Medicare and Social Security. So remember that when you vote this November, if you vote Republicans into power they will try to end Medicare and Social Security. Beck Caught Lying About Capital Gains Taxes By: Steve - April 9, 2010 - 9:00am Once again Glenn Beck is caught lying to the American people to make President Obama look bad. And this is not spin, it's a flat out lie. Now Beck claims the proposed Obama capital gains tax increase will affect every single American who invests. This is a flat out lie, and the very same thing O'Reilly did. Proving they are both dishonest right-wing liars. Here are the exact words Beck used on his 4-1-10 show: BECK: He also sought to raise the capital gains tax, which affects every single American who invests, which -- I know that sounds like the big Wall Street fat cats, but if you have a 401(k), that would be you.Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! The Proposed capital gains increase only impacts "Upper-Income" earners. Obama has called for a 20 percent capital gains tax rate on families with income greater than $250,000. Which if passed, would not even happen until the fiscal year 2011. And that is if it even happens, it may happen, it may not. So Beck was caught lying about something that might happen in the future, and it will only affect people that make over $250,000 a year. So if you make less than $250,000 a year and you invest the tax will not affect you at all. And btw, only 2% of the people make over $250,000 a year, so 98% of the people WILL NOT pay the increased capital gains tax, if it even happens. One last thing, Glenn Beck also left out some important info when he was lying his ass off. That proposed capital gains tax increase in 2011, is only on money you invest, so if you make $250,000 or more a year, there is no tax increase on that money. You only pay the extra tax if you invest some money, then cash it in, the tax is paid when you cash in and take your profits. So even if you make over $250,000 a year and you invest $100,000 in say Gold, you do not pay the tax increase. Until you cash it in and take the profit. And if you make over $250,000 a year, but you do not make any investments, you do not have to pay the tax at all. That means it is not a mandatory tax increase, it's only a tax increase on investments for people that make over $250,000 a year. Not to mention, Obama has not even passed it yet, don't you think Beck could at least wait until Obama has passed the new tax before he complains and lies about it. Not only has he ignored the story about the man being arrested for sending death threats to Nancy Pelosi. O'Reilly is ignoring the story about his mother saying he did it because of Fox News. Accused Man's Mom Blames Fox News For Behavior SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Gregory Giusti's 83-year-old mother had not heard that her son had been arrested, but she told ABC7 he has a history of mental problems. She does not think he would be capable of carrying out the threat; he has never owned a gun, and she blames Fox News for getting her son worked up. Giusti was arrested Wednesday afternoon for threatening Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi over recent healthcare legislation. "Greg frequently gets in with a group of people that have really radical ideas and that are not consistent with myself or the rest of the family, which gets him into problems," Eleanor Giusti said. "I say Fox News, or all of those that are really radical, and he, that's where he comes from." According to ABC7 legal analyst Dean Johnson, there is a point at which free speech ends and a threat begins. "Communicating a threat with the intent that it be taken seriously is one of those types of speech that is simply not protected," Johnson said. "Even under state law, as well as the federal law that applies here, there are crimes that are based on threatening another individual, you simply cannot do that." The FBI told ABC7 Giusti will be booked into San Francisco County Jail to spend the night, before appearing in federal court Thursday morning. Remember that O'Reilly claims nothing Fox does leads anyone to do anything against any Democrats. He even said if you have evidence of that send it to him and he will report it. Well here it is, you have the mans mother saying he gets all his news from Fox, and that is what lead him to send the death threats to Pelosi. What say you Billy? Beck Stoops To New Low: Smears Obama Family By: Steve - April 8, 2010 - 8:00am Beck attacks the parents of Barack Obama and claimed they abandoned him. While it is true his Father was not around all the time, it's not true that his parents abandoned him. And even if they did, what does that have to do with politics. Hey Beck, I thought you right-wingers said the families are off limits, unless they are part of the campaign, or they go public. Yesterday on Monday 4-6-10 Beck did an all out attack on President Obama's family, and mostly his mother, and it does not get much lower than that. And Beck started by saying that he was not attacking them, then he attacked them. Beck said this: BECK: I want you to know that I am by no means attacking his family. And in fact, I think after the first five minutes of the show tonight, you're actually going to feel sorry for the little boy, Barry Obama -- the boy, the little one. This little boy. He's so cute! I don't feel sorry for the man, but the tragedy of this kid's childhood is staggering!Of course, Obama's father did sort of abandon his family -- but it wasn't for politics, it was for personal ambition: he wanted to attend Harvard without the hassle of a wife and son. Then Beck attacked Obama's dead mother, who Barack himself described as "the one who was the single constant in my life," and "that she was the kindest, most generous spirit I have ever known, and that what is best in me I owe to her." How does Beck explain her, as a commie sympathizer, of course: BECK: She was described by a friend as, "a fellow traveler." If anybody who reads about progressives and Marxism, you recognize that language.Yes we do. "Fellow traveler" is what the McCarthyite Red-baiters of the 1950s liked to call liberals. Of course, the proof for Beck is that Dunham actually supported Adlai Stevenson in the 1956 election. BECK: Dunham later left to Hawaii, to travel to Indonesia for a second time, and then she left her son to move to Pakistan. She left her son with her parents. This is the second time this poor little boy was left by a parent!That is a total 100% lie. Ann Dunham did not at any time "abandon" her son, and Beck's claim that she did is a smear of the lowest kind. Ann Dunham never "abandoned" Barack Obama. She did send him to a private school for the sake of giving him an elite education -- which is hardly the same as abandonment. And when she returned to Indonesia to conduct field work as an anthropologist, the teenaged Obama chose to stay in Hawaii with his grandparents instead -- again, nothing particularly unusual about that. And for what it's worth, Dunham didn't go to work in Pakistan until the late 1980s, by which time she was conducting work for the Asia Development Bank (which suggests, coincidentally, that Dunham was not exactly an opponent of capitalism). And "little Barry" by that time was a full-grown man in his 20s. There's a lot more wrong with Beck's attack on Obama's family, particularly his smearing of Obama's grandparents as Marxists because they attended a Unitarian Church. But it proves something we already know, Glenn Beck is a low life right-wing idiot. Glenn Beck: The Dumbest Man In America By: Steve - April 6, 2010 - 9:00am Now the stupid Glenn Beck is saying net neutrality is Marxist plot by the Government to take over the Internet, when in fact it's about keeping the internet as an open platform for individuals and businesses, it's even supported by major corporations like Google, Amazon.com and Facebook. Not to mention, conservative groups like the Christian Coaltion, the Gun Owners of America, and the Parents Television Council also support net neutrality. On his Monday show Beck told his braindead viewers that net neutrality was all about silencing him, and others opposed to the Obama administration. To call this missing the point would be generous and a disservice to anyone who has ever legitmately missed a point. Beck says that net neutrality is about squelching freedom of speech, the exact opposite of what net neutrality will do. From The Free Press statement on net neutrality: We need to keep the Internet free, open and neutral. Net Neutrality is vital to ensuring that everyone can connect and share content freely, that we can access the information, visit the Web sites and say what we want online, free from discrimination or interference.Crazy Beck has turned Free Press net neutrality advocacy into a Marxist plot "to limit America's free press and freedom of speech." After complaining about a campaign by Free Press to have individuals comment to the FCC supporting net neutrality rules as a power grab by special interests, Beck directed his audience to go to nointernettakeover.com to oppose net neutrality. What he neglected to point out is that nointernettakeover.com is run by the right-wing organization Americans for Prosperity, which receives tons of corporate special interest money. So who would benefit from net neutrality, everyone, even Glenn Beck, people like Beck would continue to have open access to a platform to share their conspiracy theories no matter how ill-informed they might be. He is actually opposed to something that would make sure he has freedom of speech, which is the opposite of what he claims it would do, proving just how stupid he is. Beck Insanity Alert (Number - 1,200) By: Steve - April 6, 2010 - 8:30am And now we stroll through the land of Glenn Beck insanity once again, what we find is very scary. In video #1 the insane Glenn Beck thinks Fox News is making a difference, with less than 1% of the American people watching them, and he even thinks the Obama administration is trying to silence him. In video #2 the insane Glenn Beck claims Woodrow Wilson was one of the most evil people ever. And yes he is talking about the former President Woodrow Wilson. He was the 28th President of the United States. He served as President of Princeton University from 1902 to 1910, and then as the Governor of New Jersey from 1911 to 1913. Wilson was elected President as a Democrat in 1912. In his first term, Wilson persuaded a Democratic Congress to pass the Federal Reserve Act, Federal Trade Commission, the Clayton Antitrust Act, the Federal Farm Loan Act and America's first-ever federal progressive income tax in the Revenue Act of 1913. Now ask yourself this, even if he was evil, in fricking 1912, what does that have to do with anything in the year 2010. And btw, Wilson was re-elected to a 2nd term in 1916, if he was so evil how the hell did he get elected to a 2nd term. And what a shocker, Beck calls a former Democratic President evil, even after he has said he is not a partisan. If that's true, why are all his attacks on Democrats, and a Democrat who was in power in fricking 1912. |
