Top 15 Glenn Beck Lies From 2010
By: Steve - December 31, 2010 - 9:30am

Think about this, Glenn Beck said he never lies, because if he did it would get him fired. And yet, he lies virtually every day, and Fox does not fire him. In fact, you can see his top 15 lies right here.

15) On his January 13th show, Beck claimed the Fed keeps it's profits, and that you can not even look at their books. Beck claimed the Fed made $50 billion in profits, and they just keep it, without paying any taxes on it.

Too bad it's all a lie, because the Fed Returns All Their Profit To The Treasury. The Federal Reserve will return about $45 billion to the U.S. Treasury for 2009, the highest earnings in the 96-year history of the central bank. The Fed, unlike most government agencies, funds itself from its own operations and returns its profits to the Treasury.

14) Beck claimed that Tax Dollars Funded A Jesus Art Exhibit At The Smithsonian.

Too bad its all lieswhile the Smithsonian does receives some Public Fundingthey do not Use That Money For Exhibitions.

The exhibition was funded by the largest number of individual donors for a Portrait Gallery show. The show, which cost $750,000, was also underwritten by foundations that support gay and lesbian issues.

As part of the Smithsonian, the gallery receives public funds. Overall, the Smithsonian gets about 70 percent of its annual budget from the federal government, but it does not use that money for exhibitions.

13) On his June 17th show, Beck said President Obama did not make the BP oil spill a priority.

Too bad it's all lies, During an address from the Oval Office, Obama said this: "But make no mistake: We will fight this spill with everything we've got for as long as it takes. We will make BP pay for the damage their company has caused. And we will do whatever's necessary to help the Gulf Coast and its people recover from this tragedy."

Obama also said this: "Those who think that we were either slow on our response or lacked urgency don't know the facts. This has been our highest priority since this crisis occurred."

12) On his December 2nd show Beck said the U.S. is Sending "Another Trillion Dollars, Over To Europe."

Too bad it's all lies, because The U.S. is not even discussing a larger International Monetary Fund contribution to the European rescue package. And to this day it has never happened.

11) On his November 9th show, Beck accused George Soros of setting up a "shadow party" to interfere in the 2004 elections. Beck based his claim on this statement from Soros: "I Do Not Accept The Rules Imposed By Others" And "In Periods Of Regime Change, Normal Rules Do Not Apply."

But there is one problem with that, Beck claims Soros said it in 2004, but that's a lie, because Soros made that statement in a book that Soros wrote in 1995, a full 9 years before the 2004 election even happened.

10) On his April 7th show Beck said Obama wants to raise the Capital gains tax on every single American who invests their money.

Too bad that's a lie, because the White House budget for fiscal year 2011 called for reinstating the 20 percent capital gains tax rate only on families with income greater than $250,000 and on individuals with income greater than $200,000.

9) On his August 10th show, Beck said Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is not a peaceful muslim, based on something someone else said 9 years ago.

Beck blamed Rauf for something he never said, and as far as I can tell, Beck either made a mistake, or he lied on purpose, either way, he was wrong. Even after saying his crack research staff is never wrong. The statement Beck said Rauf made, was actually made by Muhammad Gemeaha.

8) On his November 9th show, Beck said George Soros Manipulated Congress To Introduce Energy Legislation.

Too bad it's all lies, because contrary to Beck's claim that Soros manipulated Obama to introduce cap and trade legislation days after he was elected, Congress has been debating similar proposals for more than a decade. In fact, Sen. Barack Obama supported legislation that would have created a cap-and-trade system while campaigning in 2008. Years before Soros even called for a cap and trade bill.

7) On his April 23rd show, Beck said "There Has Been "Zero Warming For Over A Decade."

Too bad it's all lies, because NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), The U.K. Met Office, And The World Meteorological Organisation Have All Stated That 2000-2009 Was The Warmest Decade On Record For The Globe.

6) On his November 4th show, Beck claimed the Obama Trip To India Would Cost "Up To $2 Billion to keep him safe."

Too bad it's a massive lie, and even Bill O'Reilly himself said that number is ridiculous. In a statement made public the day before Beck's broadcast, White House spokesman Matt Lehrich said that the figure had "no basis in reality." Lehrich also said, "Due to security concerns, we are unable to outline details associated with security costs, but it's safe to say these numbers are wildly inflated."

5) On his March 10th show, Beck claimed Obama Wants To Ban Fishing. Beck said that the administration's decision to end the public comment phase of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force means that Obama is likely preparing to issue an executive order outlawing recreational fishing in America.

And that is a giant lie, the fishing reporter Jeffrey Weeks wrote this about it: "To suggest that President Obama is about to ban fishing in America is the most absurd and irresponsible thing I have ever seen a major news outlet publish. There is not even a remote possibility that a standing president of the United States will outlaw fishing in America."

4) On his June 21st show, Beck claimed that the Obama administration was loaning $2 billion to Brazil to benefit foreign oil interests at the expense of the U.S. economy in order to make George Soros richer.

Too bad it's a massive lie, because Bush Appointees at the Export-Import Bank -- Not Obama -- Unanimously Approved the Loan To Brazil. FactCheck.org even called the claim bogus, noting that the Export-Import Bank of the United States approved a preliminary commitment to Brazil." At the time, the Bank's Board consisted of three Republicans and two Democrats, who were all appointed by George W. Bush.

3) On his November 22nd show, Beck said Ohio City Has Not Taken Any Stimulus Money From The Government.

Too bad it's a lie!

As of November 22, reports posted at Recovery.gov showed that the city of Wilmington received at least $2.6 million in stimulus funds.

As of November 22, 2010, reports posted at Recovery.gov showed that Clinton County Ohio had received at least $4 million from the stimulus.

And Wilmington city officials confirmed that the city requested more than $63 million under the stimulus. State officials said that use of Medicaid, food stamps, cash assistance, and unemployment insurance have increased in recent years.

2) On his November 9th show, Beck claimd that Soros Was Responsible For "Taking The Property From The Jews As A Teenager."

Too bad it's all lies, because in an interview with Steve Kroft from 60 minutes, Soros Said He "Had No Role In Taking Away That Property."

In Soros: The Life and Times of a Messianic Billionaire -- a book cited by Beck during the program -- the books author Michael T. Kaufman said Soros did not collaborate with anyone.

1) On his November 29th show, Beck said "Do You Really Believe That I Could Just Make Things Up And Remain On The Air?"

After all the non-stop lies from Glenn Beck, he is still on the air. Despite All the False Claims, Fox News Has Not Fired Beck.

Republicans Hire Lobbyist For Finance Commission
By: Steve - December 28, 2010 - 8:30am

Folks, this is what you voted for when you voted Republican in the last election, they just hired a corporate lobbyist to oversee the financial reform regulations passed by Obama and the Democrats. It's like putting the Fox in charge of the hen house, and it's the very same kind of stuff that caused the financial crisis in the first place.

Just a few days ago, incoming Agriculture Chairman Rep. Frank Lucas (R-OK) announced the hire of Ryan McKee as the senior staffer to oversee the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. McKee is currently a lobbyist working for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce division dedicated to deregulating complex derivatives products.

In her new role working for Lucas, McKee will be liaising with regulators in charge of implementing new rules under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform law to overhaul the over-the-counter derivatives market.

The Chamber, which is funded by AIG, JP Morgan, CitiGroup, and other financial interests, took the lead role in fighting to defeat Wall Street reform efforts. Last year, the Chamber organized a conference call with other financial industry lobby groups and bank lobbyists to coordinate their efforts. As Tim Fernholz reported, McKee made clear that she was fighting to kill financial reform:
"We want to make sure that we hold all the Republicans and are able to influence enough Democrats to have a working majority to kill this thing outright or modify it to the point where it's palatable to the business community," Jason Matthews, the Chamber's director of congressional affairs, told the callers.

Ryan McKee, a senior director at the Chamber's Center for Capital Markets, was even more direct in response to a question from an caller: "We're fundamentally trying to kill this," she said.
And as if that's not enough, the Chamber recently launched a new website dedicated to smearing the new Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.

The Wonk Room has noted that Lucas and other Republicans on the Ag Committee have already signaled that they will seek to delay implementation of new derivatives regulations. Republicans also raised eyebrows recently by proclaiming that they intend to "serve the banks" rather than regulate them.

For anyone that does not know, unregulated derivatives during the Bush years are why the housing market crashed, and it was a big cause of the financial crisis. Bush and the Republicans just let them do whatever they wanted with no oversight, and that is what caused the financial and housing crisis.

By hiring bank lobbyists like McKee to oversee reform, it's clear Republicans plan on fulfilling that promise to undermine reform. And a few years from now we could see another financial crisis, because Republicans are already working to stop any reform Obama passed. If they can not stop it, they plan to block the funding, all to serve their corporate masters.

And the great Glenn Beck, who claims to be worried about what is happening in the country, does not say one word about any of it. He just spins out his right-wing lies about Obama and the Democrats, while ignoring the real problems the Republicans are trying to create again.

So if it happens again in a few years, remember this, because it shows just what the Republicans are doing. They are basically on the payroll of the wealthy, the corporations, and the lobbyists. They say jump, and the Republicans say how high. And they do this while they claim to represent the people.

The Republican Party Is Hurting America
By: Steve - December 27, 2010 - 9:30am

Look at what the Republican party is doing, they are voting no on everything, or blocking a vote on everything. Except for two things, tax cuts for the wealthy, and raising the estate tax for the wealthy.

They voted against the Obama stimulus bill.

They voted against the Obama health care reform bill.

They voted against the unemployment extension bill.

They voted against the Small Business Jobs and Credit Act.

They voted against the lower and middle class tax cuts only.

They voted against the womens equal pay bill.

They voted against funding the 9-11 first responders health care bill, that would provide money for medical care to the heroes who responded to the 9-11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

They voted against the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act bill, that would give more needy children the opportunity to eat free lunches at school and make those lunches healthier.

They voted against the DISCLOSE Act, which requires corporations, unions and other groups to disclose more information about their campaign activities. It also imposes new restrictions on campaign spending by foreign firms, large government contractors and companies that get taxpayer bailouts. And they voted against it, after they said they supported full disclosure.

They voted against Cap and trade, even though before Obama took office the Republican party supported a cap and trade plan. In fact, cap and trade was a conservative idea that George Bush used during his 8 years, and John McCain supported before Obama was elected.

They voted against comprehensive immigration reform in 2006. The bill strengthened border security but also laid out a path to earned citizenship for some 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country. George W. Bush and John McCain even supported it, and yet, almost every Republican voted no under pressure from the far right.

They have also blocked the Judges Obama has appointed at a historic rate. With a lousy 39 percent of Obama's judges having been confirmed. Of the 103 district and circuit court nominees, only 41 have been confirmed.

By this time in George W. Bush's presidency, the Senate had confirmed 76 percent of his nominees. President Clinton was working at a rate of 89 percent at this point in his tenure. Ronald Reagan had twice as many judges confirmed by this time in his presidency, with his 87 confirmations dwarfing Obama's total.

During the skirmishes over Bush's appointment of radical GOP partisan judges to the Supreme Court, the Bush White House sent out a message: "An up or down vote." In fact, then GOP Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist threatened to end the time-honored filibuster in the Senate to give the Bush judicial hit men an "up or down vote."

They called it the nuclear option, and said it was un-American to not give them an up or down vote. And now they are doing the very same thing they were against.

The Republicans in the Senate have also blocked 210 bills from even getting a vote, that have already passed the house. They have filabustered the bills, so they can not even get a vote. But when Democrats used the filabuster under Bush they called it un-American, and even created a website called upordownvote.com

------------------------

Now look at what Republicans have voted FOR, extending the Bush tax cuts for the top 2 percent of the most wealthy people in America. And they want to raise the lower limit on the Estate Tax from $3.5 million, to $5 million, that will only effect the top 2 percent of the most wealthy people in America.

Do you notice a pattern here, the Republicans vote against everything that helps the average American working man, while only voting for what helps the rich and the corporations .They do not represent the people who voted them into office, they represent the wealthy, the corporations, and the lobbyists who work for the wealthy and the corporations.

And you might ask why the Republicans are voting no, or blocking votes on all these bills, the answer is power and politics. The Republicans are putting party power and politics ahead of the good of the country. Their plan is to block evertything the President and the Democrats want to pass, then it will make Obama look like a failure, and they can then use that in the 2012 Presidential elections, to try and get the White House back.

Think about that for a minute folks, the Republicans in Congress (who were elected by the people) to fix the economy, create jobs, and get this country going on the right track again, are voting no on everything for partisan political reasons.

Imagine if the Democratic party were doing this, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Coulter, and all of Fox News would call them traitors and call for them to be put on trial for treason.

This is borderline treason, by every single Republican in the House and the Senate. Now I understand it is not really treason, but it is un-American, and it is hurting the American people, especially the middle and lower class working Americans.

And that is why you should all remember this, and vote these un-American bastards out of office in the next election. This is an outrage, and maybe the worst thing I have ever seen a political party do.

Now think about this too, Beck never says a word about any of this, why, because he is one of them, and he agrees with what they are doing.

The Beck Fear Tactics Are Out Of Control
By: Steve - December 16, 2010 - 9:30am

It's official, Glenn Beck is out of control with these ridiculous fear tactics. And as much as I support free speech, there are some limits, for example. You can not yell fire in a crowded movie theater, and you can not use some words on radio or tv.

Now I think it's time for the Fox management to step in and tell Beck to stop with the revolution talk. And if they do not do it, then the FCC should grow some balls and stop it. Because if they don't, some of his crazy fans are going to think it's real, and start a revolution.

Over the last few days Beck has mentioned revolution about a hundred times, and recently it got even worse, he is calling for people in the military and special ops to join the revolution.

On December 9, Beck wrote this on his lame chalkboard:

Dec 9, 2010
The Revolution is Now

On the very same show Beck warns of revolution and begs the military to "please remember your oath to the Constitution of the United States."

This stuff is borderline sedition talk, so he better be careful what he says. Then on his December 14th show Beck said this: "If you're in special ops, please - please - tell your friends, wake them up" about the coming revolution.

This is also borderline incitement of violence. Maybe even Sedition. I wonder how far Fox will allow him to go, this type of talk doesn't sound very patriotic to me. And since when did the right wing start to hate the country.

If a liberal with a radio and tv show was saying this stuff under a Republican President, O'Reilly and his right-wing friends at Fox would be calling for him to be taken off the air and tried for Sedition.

It's one thing to mention revolution to the regular fans, but when you start calling for people in the military and special ops to join your revolution, then you say the revolution has started, that is crossing the line.

Remember this folks, if some right-wing former or current military do something violent. Then we can trace it right to Glenn Beck and Fox News.

More Proof Beck Lied About Inflation
By: Steve - December 15, 2010 - 8:30am

Back on November 24th Glenn Beck went on and on about how you should talk about inflation during Thanksgiving dinner. Beck said inflation is going up and the Government is hiding it from you.

I reported what Beck said, and proved he was lying. And now a new inflation report is out, and it also shows that Beck was lying.

By The Associated Press

12-15-10 -- WASHINGTON - Inflation remained tame as consumer prices barely increased last month.

The Labor Department says the Consumer Price Index rose 0.1 percent in November, less than the previous month's rise of 0.2 percent.

Earth to Glenn Beck, prices only rose 0.1 percent in November, which is down from 0.2 percent in October. That means inflation went down, not up, as you claimed it would.

Proving once again that you are a lying right-wing idiot, that nobody should listen to about anything. You are a fool, and a liar. And if I am wrong, sue me for slander. If you do not sue me, then I am clearly right.

What A Deal: Only $532 To Meet Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck Is The New Alex Jones
By: Steve - December 12, 2010 - 8:30am

Glenn Beck sounds identical to the leading far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. In a December 10 article, PrisonPlanet.com's Paul Joseph Watson wrote this:
"Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Should we be elated or alarmed that Fox News host Glenn Beck now sounds almost identical to Alex Jones?

Earlier this week on his television program, Beck talked about Pentagon war games which featured National Guard soldiers training to take on protesters holding signs with the words 'FOOD NOW' scrawled on them."
PrisonPlanet.com added that "Beck is on the verge of going head to head with the same military-industrial complex that will enforce any martial law scenario, the same entity that funds and controls the corporate media which provides Beck with his platform."

Jones has been criticized by groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League, which wrote that he "may currently well be the most prominent conspiracy theorist in the United States."

Beck has increasingly made the same arguments as Jones when it comes to the imposition of a global government and a "New World Order," opposition to the Federal Reserve, and attacks on Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Jones, for his part, has said that "my research, my ideas, are having such an effect through" Beck. Jones has also said that Beck is talking "about things that 15 years ago I was called a lunatic for."

And btw folks, Beck's favorite guest host is Andrew Napolitano, who recently revealed his belief in 9-11 conspiracy theories, a pet cause for Jones, who describes himself as "one of the very first founding fathers of the 9-11 Truther Movement."

Napolitano has repeatedly praised Jones and said he's "trying to keep up with him, to educate the public in the dangers of too much government."

Basically, Alex Jones is the king of the right-wing nuts, and Beck is one of his biggest followers. And yet, O'Reilly has Beck on his show every week, not to mention the bold fresh tour they do together.

And Fox gives this loon a tv show, as they claim to be fair and balanced. It's ridiculous, and as long as they have Beck spewing out all this new world order nonsense Fox News has no credibility, and nobody will ever take them serious.

The Glenn Beck Lies Are Endless
By: Steve - December 9, 2010 - 9:30am

Now this is funny, on his radio show Wednesday Glenn Beck said he could stir up hatred if he wanted to, but he will not do that because he is not in the business.

Wow is that ridiculous, because Beck is the king of stirring up hate. Every lie he tells stirs up hate with the left, so he is in the hate business, he just refuses to admit it, then lies about it.

Earth to Glenn Beck, when you spin out lies about Obama and the Democrats every day, you are stirring up hate, what part of that do you not understand.

Beck Lying About Number Of Muslim Terrorists
By: Steve - December 6, 2010 - 8:30am

The insane Glenn Beck is at it again, now the fool claims that 10% of Muslims are terrorists, he said this on his Monday radio show. And remember, he said he could not lie or he would be taken off the air, and yet, he is caught lying every day.

And now the facts, something Beck has no clue about. There are roughly 1.2 Billion Muslims in the world. So 10% would be about 120 million, which would be a lot, if it were true. But the experts say they think there are 1.8 to 2.0 million terrorists in the world. And that is not even close to 10%, in fact, it's less than 1%, so Beck is not even close.

When it comes to actual jihadists, to those who have or will commit an act of terrorism in Allah's name, my research suggests that they represent no more than 1.8 million actual Islamic jihadists on the planet today. So what Beck is doing is fearmongering, to make people more afraid of Muslims than they should be.

And btw, the odds you will be involved in a terrorist attack in the United States, are more than being hit by lightning. And if you live in a small city, that is not New York, Chicago, etc. the odds are almost zero. I live in a small city in Illinois and the odds that I will ever be involved in a terrorist attack are pretty much zero.

Now let me point out one last thing, Glenn Beck is a regular on the O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly has him on his show once a week in a segment called at your Beck and call. And O'Reilly never points out any of these lies from Beck, sometimes he will say to Beck that he does not agree with him. But he never says hey that is a lie, and you just made it up.

So O'Reilly is just as bad as Beck, for not slamming him for the lies.

100 Percent Proof Glenn Beck Is A LIAR!
By: Steve - December 2, 2010 - 9:30am

And before I show you the 100 percent proof Glenn Beck is a liar, look at what Beck said. On 11-29-10 Beck said this:
BECK: I would ask Mr. Dean to help me out. What is it that we make up? I would ask you to just take a moment here -- do you really believe that I could -- or anybody here at Fox News could -- just make things up and remain on the air? No.
The Dean he is talking about is the former head of the DNC, Howard Dean, who said Beck just makes things up. Now think about this, Beck is saying he could not make things up and stay on the air. Ok, now look at this.

On the 11-29-10 Glenn Beck show, Beck claimed that "the tactic known as deem and pass" was used for "final passage" of health care reform legislation. Here are Beck's exact words:
BECK: In fact, it was SEIU's then-president Andy Stern, the most frequent visitor to the White House by far, who pushed for the tactic known as deem and pass. That gave the final passage of Obamacare. It was supposed to help the unions -- Affordable Care Act.
And that is a flat out lie, it's not true, Beck did in fact, make it up. Not only did the McClatchy Newspaper report on it, FOX News even reported it, the very network Beck works for.

FACT: House Democrats did not use "deem and pass" to finalize health care reform.

From a March 20 McClatchy Newspapers article:
House Democratic leaders dropped a controversial plan that would have "deemed" Senate-approved health care legislation passed as part of a resolution setting rules of debate but would not have required House members to vote directly on the legislation.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., Democrats abandoned "deem and pass" because the party leadership is confident that the votes to pass the health care bill.

"We determined that we could do this and it's a better process," Hoyer told reporters. "We believe we have the votes."

The maneuver had been seen as a way to allow Democrats to avoid voting on the bill, but Democrats were uneasy about the prospect. Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mo., said it looked like a "back door deal."

"We've had sanity prevail here," said Rep. Dennis Cordoza, D-Calif., a supporter of the legislation. "This is something that should be done in the light of day."
From a FoxNews.com article headlined "House Opts Against 'Deeming' Health Care Bill Passed":
House Democrats on Saturday decided against using a controversial tactic to pass the Senate's version of the health care bill without an actual vote.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-MD., said he believes Democrats have enough votes to pass the legislation.

The decision capped an ongoing discussion on whether to use a so-called "deem and pass" strategy that would allow House members to approve the Senate version of health care bill without an actual vote before taking up a second "fix-it" resolution, known as reconciliation.
And there you have it, 100 percent proof Glenn Beck lied. After he said he could not make things up and stay on the air, he did exactly that, he made it up and he is still on the air.
