Another Radio Station Drops Beck Show
By: Steve - February 28, 2011 - 9:30am

This is the 3rd radio station to drop Beck over the last month os so, proving that people are finally figuring out what Beck is all about, making money and getting famous telling lies and putting out right-wing propaganda.

In fact, the radio station even explained why they dropped him. The Madison, Wisconsin, radio station that dropped Glenn Beck's program this week issued the following statement to Media Matters when asked why the decision was made:
WTDY can no longer carry the Glenn Beck program. Over the last 12 months, the show has devolved into plugs for Fox News (the radio version of which is aired by our direct competitor), his books, and other personal endorsements.

The lack of actual content becomes more apparent daily. Monday's program was the final straw; his unabashed deriding of Madison is unacceptable for broadcast in our community.
Here is my question, what took so long. Did it take them this long to figure out what Beck was doing, I have been saying that he is a lying con-man for over a year.

Republican Scarborough Says Beck Out Of Control
By: Steve - February 27, 2011 - 8:30am

Beck is so far gone now that even Republicans are slamming him, on 2-25-11 Joe Scarborough said Beck can not last because he is out of control with the crazy communist/marxist nonsense.

And it's not just one Republican slamming Beck. Writing for Conservative Commentary magazine, Peter Wehner issued a warning about Glenn Beck:
WEHNER: It's hard to tell how much of what Beck says is sincere and how much is for show. Whatever the case, and even taking into account the entire MSNBC lineup, Glenn Beck has become the most disturbing personality on cable television.

One cannot watch him for any length of time without being struck by his affinity for conspiracies and for portraying himself as the great decoder of events.

All this is quite troublesome in its own right. But what ought to worry conservatives in particular is that Beck not only has the unusual capacity to discredit virtually every cause he takes up; he also confirms the worst caricatures of the right.
Wehner also said that it's "only a matter of time before Beck blows apart professionally."

Basically Scarborough and Wehner confirmed what I have been saying for at least a year. That Glenn Beck is nothing but a clown, and a right-wing con-man, who is suckering his viewers into buying his propaganda.

Glenn Beck is a total fraud, he is in it for 2 things, fame and money, in fact, I bet he does not believe 90% of what he says. It's all a con game folks, and if you watch Beck, or believe anything he says, you are a fool that is being played like a fiddle. He is also a little crazy, but most of what he does is just lies to make money and get famous.

Beck's Latest Insanity: Waving Red Flags = Communism
By: Steve - February 26, 2011 - 9:30am

I kid you not, now Beck is saying that because protesters in India, and Egypt, waved red flags, it means anyone who waves a red flag (even in America) is a communist/marxist who is part of the new world order he has dreamed up in his head.

Here is the deal, protestors in Wisconsin have waved red flags, but it has nothing to do with communism or marxism or any other ism Beck dreams about. They just liked the color red because it stands out, and it looks good.

Somehow Beck linked the Americans protesting in Wisconsin to protesters in Egypt and India, with red flags. That's his evidence of a new world order, they both waved red flags, wow is he insane. Anyone who believes anything Beck says is just stupid.

Union For Reform Judaism Slams Glenn Beck
By: Steve - February 25, 2011 - 8:30am

Rabbi Eric H. Yoffie, president of the Union for Reform Judaism, issued a statement in response to Glenn Beck's February 22 comments comparing Reform Judaism to "radicalized Islam." From Rabbi Yoffie's statement:
Reform Judaism, a proud and venerable religious tradition, does not accept Mr. Beck as the arbiter of what is spiritual and what is not, of who has faith and who does not, of what constitutes real religion and what does not. We respect his faith and demand that he respect ours.

Our members, who - like others in North America - apply their religious values to the problems of the broader society, are happy to have Mr. Beck disagree with us on any position that one or more of us may take, but not to make pronouncements and sweeping condemnations that he has neither the right nor the knowledge to make.

We are particularly incensed that Mr. Beck chose to compare Reform Judaism with "radicalized Islam." While noting that Reform Judaism is not about "terror," he implied the opposite - or, at the very least, that the religious faith of the largest segment of North American Jewry is extremist and fanatic.

Dismissing the heartfelt religious beliefs of millions of North Americans is offensive. Mr. Beck should be ashamed of his comments, and we hope that he will have the good sense never to repeat them.
And btw folks, 35% of the Jewish people in America are part of the Union For Reform Judaism. That's about 1.5 million people.

Update: Beck made his crazy comments on 2-22-11, and then on his 2-24-11 show Beck apologized for slandering the Reform Jews.

Beck Using Fear Tactics About The Military
By: Steve - February 22, 2011 - 9:30am

Once again Glenn Beck has gone off the deep end, on his crazy show Monday he used some memo to claim that Cass Sunstein is going to use the military against American citizens. I mean let's get real, that is never going to happen.

Beck is nuts folks, he takes a memo then puts some crazy spin on it, and if you believe it you are nuts too. Notice that Beck does things like this every day, but none of it happens.

Beck has made about a thousand predictions like this over the last 2 years, now think back to how many of his predictions have come true, none, zero. Beck makes all this garbage up to scare people, then it never happens. And if you believe any of it, you are just stupid.

Glenn Beck Goes Off The Crazy Chart (Again)
By: Steve - February 19, 2011 - 8:30am

On a scale of 1 to 10 on the crazy chart, this is a 15. On his Friday 2-18-11 show, the totally insane Glenn Beck said that women who have been raped, and then get an abortion are like Eugenicists.

Are you kidding me, that is just insane. And btw, No woman should ever have to go through having a child from a rape either, if she does not want to.

In fact, I still do not understand how Beck and all the pro-life people think they can tell a woman what to do with her body. They claim to support freedom, then they want to tell women they can not have an abortion, even if it involves rape or incest. That is not freedom, it's communism.

Details On The Beck Wilmington Charity Donation
By: Steve - February 16, 2011 - 9:30am

With news that Glenn Beck finally donated money to Wilmington, and with the news that most of the money raised from Beck's ticket sales did not go to Wilmington charities, it's time to ask this question:

Did Beck actually turn a profit from his Wilmington appearances thanks to the sky-high ticket fees for the performances. And did Beck turn a profit because Fox News, in a highly unusual move, allowed the host to charge exorbitant prices for fans to watch him tape his TV show in Wilmington?

Beck's entire Wilmington production, which he relentlessly promoted as a selfless act of goodwill, looks increasingly cynical in its execution. It also looks increasingly profitable. For Beck, not the town.

We've always known Beck charged money for the Wilmington tickets. That's never been a secret. But the revelation late last week that such a large percentage of the ticket revenues did not go to charity raises the obvious question: Why did Fox News allow Beck to charge big bucks ($125) for tickets to the taping of his TV show?

When he announced his Wilmington plans, Beck also politicized his deeds by lying about how the town, had shunned financial aid from Uncle Sam. In truth, the federal government has pumped millions of dollars into Wilmington and the surrounding county in recent years. Just last week the government announced it was pouring nearly $3 million more into the community.

As part of Beck's tour of the town back on December 15, he sold tickets to three separate events at the Murphy Theater, which he rented out. Fans were able to purchase $125 tickets to watch the taping of Beck's nationally syndicated radio show. Fans were able to purchase $125 tickets for the taping of Beck's Fox News program. And fans were able to purchase $125 tickets to his one-man performance that evening, "America's First Christmas."

Especially wealthy, or dedicated, Beck fans were even able to purchase VIP tickets to a breakfast meet-and-greet with the talker in Wilmington that day. (Those tickets sold for $500, not counting the $32 per-ticket service fee.)

Keep in mind that typically, television shows filmed before a live audience give away tickets. For free. The notion that a news program would charge admission for the taping of a program is highly unusual. The idea that a show like that would charge $125 is just bizarre, and that Beck was doing that in a community suffering from sky-high unemployment was just jaw dropping.

At the time though, there were vague promises made by Beck's camp that the money raised from the ticket sales would go to help Wilmington charities busy trying to help those in need.

And to his credit, Beck was able to sell lots of tickets in Wilmington. If you add up the revenue from Beck's three Murphy Theater events, he sold approximately $300,000 worth of tickets. Specifically, the taping of Beck's TV show sold out, generating nearly $100,000 in sales.

If all of that money, had gone directly to local charities than I could sort of understand why Fox News allowed one of its hosts to charge $125 for tickets to a taping. But we now know most of the money from those $125 tickets did not go to local charities.

Last week, we found out that from the estimated $300,000 raised from Wilmington ticket sales, Beck donated a grand total of $44,000 to local charities. So where did the remaining $256,000 go?

There seems to be an enormous gap between the $300,000 in ticket revenues Beck generated and the $44,000 he donated to charity. Beck's Wilmington costs accounted for nearly 85 percent of ticket sales? If true, that's one poorly run charity event.

That $256,000 gap is significant for several reasons, one of which is it raises questions about why Fox News let Beck charge admission for the taping of his TV show in Wilmington when it's now clear that most of that money did not go to charity.

Another Republican Slams Beck Caliphate Theory
By: Steve - February 15, 2011 - 8:30am

The Republican David Brooks Called Beck's Caliphate Theory "Delusional" And "Wacky"

So now Beck will most likely attack David Brooks too, instead of admitting his claims are crazy, he will most likely pull the old right-wing attack the attacker trick, even when they are right.

And btw, if anyone knows of any predictions Beck has made that came true, can you e-mail me with the details, because as far as I know, none of his crazy predictions have ever came true.

Beck's Egypt Repoting: Silly Extreme & Reckless
By: Steve - February 13, 2011 - 9:30am

Saturday's edition of the Los Angeles Times includes media columnist James Rainey's take on how "Glenn Beck's hysterical rants about Egypt play on fear."

Rainey points out Beck's increasingly paranoid conspiracy-mongering regarding the Egyptian protests, during which he claimed progressive groups, American labor unions, and a host of other supposedly shadowy figures helped to orchestrate an uprising that would lead to the establishment of a massive, jihadist caliphate.

From The Rainey Article:
What seemed like a joyous and hopeful turning point to most others in the media, including some of his Fox News colleagues, appeared to Beck, instead, as a foreboding and likely ruinous event for Egypt, for the Mideast and possibly for all of humanity.

The author, entertainer and one time stand-up comedian has had many low moments in his relentless pursuit of the lowest common denominator, but this week's embrace of fear and loathing may have been the nadir. Beck again proved he is the current exemplar of what political scientist Richard J. Hofstadter defined as the "paranoid style" in American politics.

In the case of Egypt and its democracy movement, the Fox News performer sees not the energetic amalgam of students, shopkeepers, bureaucrats, intellectuals and professionals who virtually every real journalist in Cairohas described in recent days. Beck's evening chalkboard talks instead fulminate endlessly about the shadowy forces that will surely bring "the coming insurrection."
In fact, Beck's nonsense about Egypt is so ridiculous, even Bill O'Reilly said he was wrong. And you know you have gone off the deep end when O'Reilly does not agree with your right-wing propaganda.

Beck Caught Lying About Mussolini Quote
By: Steve - February 12, 2011 - 8:30am

As if we needed more evidence that Glenn Beck is a lying right-wing piece of garbage, here it is. Glenn Beck has repeatedly taken a quote from a 1923 New York Times article out of context and portrayed the newspaper as praising Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

In fact, the Times was quoting a magazine writer, and immediately following the portion of the quote Beck repeated, the writer called Mussolini "a danger to the peace of Europe."

Notice the date of the article, it's 1923, yes 1923. Beck is quoting a 1923 NY Times article to smear them in 2011, wow is that ridiculous.

Beck said this on 2-9-11: The Times "Heaped Praise On Mussolini."
BECK: These advancements were all happening in the 1920s, and soon as there was trouble, everybody wanted to bail on the free-market system. The New York Times heaped praises on Mussolini. Quote, "Mussolini is a Latin Teddy Roosevelt who first acts and then inquires if it's legal. He's been a great service to Italy at home." Oh, has he? Has he really?
To begin with the quote that said Mussolini is a Latin Teddy Roosevelt, is not a quote from the NY Times, the writer was quoting someone else. And the writer of the NY Times article also said that Mussolini was "a danger to the peace of Europe."

But the most crazy part is that Beck misattributes a quote from a fricking 1923 NY Times article. Who cares what they wrote in 1923, and what the hell does that have to do with anyone who works there today in 2011.

Bill Maher Slams Bill O'Reilly And Glenn Beck
By: Steve - February 11, 2011 - 9:30am

And I have to say that I agree with Bill Maher 100 percent. Bill Maher recently appeared on The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell and took on Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck. He seemed most disturbed with O'Reilly's President Obama interview and labeled it "unpatriotic" to conduct an interview in such a way.

Amazed that Obama could sit there and take that much guff from O'Reilly, Maher said this:
MAHER: I just feel like the most difficult part of his job must be to quelch the rage that somewhere must be inside him to say 'I'm the President of the United States, you don't talk to me like this. I'm not some left - I'm not Al Sharpton you know, I won this job.'

And Bill O'Reilly who claims he's such a patriot - how unpatriotic it to treat a President that way. How does that look to other countries when you're interrupting and belittling?
Moments later Maher redirected his focus to Beck who received the worst insults. Maher dismissed him as a "bad joke" with a "messiah complex" and as someone who doesn't care how he stays on top, but will just find a way to make sure he does.

Beck Slams Kristol For His True Statements
By: Steve - February 9, 2011 - 8:30am

Now this is funny, Kristol says Beck has gone off the deep end with his insane propaganda about Egypt, which is 100% true, and then Beck slammed Kristol.

Beck said this: "Kristol's Thinking Got Us Into This Impossible Situation In Egypt." And Beck also said this: "Have You Done A Minute Of Research, Bill?"

This is a typical Republican tactic, when someone calls them out for being a lunatic, they attack the attacker and say they are nuts. But normally they do it to a liberal, this time it's a fellow conservative.

Kristol is right, and he is not even the only conservative saying Beck is wrong, Charles Krauthammer also said Obama is doing the right thing with Egypt. O'Reilly also disagreed with Beck over Egypt. So Beck is almost alone with his crazy ideas about Egypt, but instead of admitting he is wrong, he claims everyone else is wrong, which is what liars and dishonest people usually do.

Kristol Says Beck Is Going Overboard Over Egypt
By: Steve - February 7, 2011 - 9:30am

You know you have gone too far with the right-wing crazy talk, when Bill Kristol hammers you, and that is what happened with Glenn Beck. Kristol said Beck Is "Marginalizing Himself With His Hysteria Over Egypt."

In a column for The Weekly Standard, editor and Fox News contributor William Kristol criticizes Beck for his "hysteria" and attacks other conservatives for being "so fearful of a popular awakening that they side with the dictator against the democrats."
KRISTOL: Now, people are more than entitled to their own opinions of how best to accomplish that democratic end. And it's a sign of health that a political and intellectual movement does not respond to a complicated set of developments with one voice.

But hysteria is not a sign of health. When Glenn Beck rants about the caliphate taking over the Middle East from Morocco to the Philippines, and lists (invents?) the connections between caliphate-promoters and the American left, he brings to mind no one so much as Robert Welch and the John Birch Society. He's marginalizing himself, just as his predecessors did back in the early 1960s.

Nor is it a sign of health when other American conservatives are so fearful of a popular awakening that they side with the dictator against the democrats. Rather, it's a sign of fearfulness unworthy of Americans, of short-sightedness uncharacteristic of conservatives, of excuse-making for thuggery unworthy of the American conservative tradition.
And it's not just Bill Kristol saying Beck has gone off the deep end about Egypt. National Review editor and Fox News contributor Rich Lowry agrees with Kristol, writing that he "takes a well-deserved shot at Glenn Beck's latest wild theorizing."

Noting that conservative pundit Bill Kristol has called out Glenn Beck for his Egypt "hysteria," Time's Joe Klein posted this on the magazine's blog Saturday.
KLEIN: This is not unimportant. Kristol lies very close to the throbbing heart of the Fox News sensibility.

And I've heard, from more than a couple of conservative sources, that prominent Republicans have approached Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes about the potential embarrassment that the paranoid-messianic rodeo clown may bring upon their brand.

The speculation is that Beck is on thin ice. His ratings are dropping, too--which, in the end, is a good part of what this is all about. But I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a mirror-Olbermann situation soon.
And as usual, neither O'Reilly or anyone at Fox report any of this, or call Beck out on his insanity. O'Reilly did disagree with Beck on Egypt, but not once did he call him a loon for the stuff he is saying, which is what he would do if Beck was a liberal.

Beck Has Biggest Ratings Drop On Cable
By: Steve - February 6, 2011 - 8:30am

From the website businessinsider.com: Glenn Beck Posted The Biggest Ratings Drop Of Any Cable News Show In January.

Glenn Beck's ratings slipped in January. A lot.

Year over year he posted the biggest loss of any cable news show averaging 1.8 million viewers, down 39% from January 2010. In 25-54 demo he dropped 48%, to 397,000.

Becks ratings have been struggling all month. And by struggling we mean he as been consistently below the 2 million total viewers mark. A first.

Last April a big deal was made when Beck's ratings tumbled from 2.9 in January to 2.1 in April. They rebounded over the summer (after his D.C. rally) but dropped again in October when he slipped behind Bret Baier for the first time.

The 1.9 is a drop from his October average of 2.9 million.

So what's behind this drop? It's entirely possible viewers are simply tiring of the chalkboard and the high rhetoric, which has been notably higher of late. And needless to say Beck is not the phenom he was a year ago.

It's probably also worth noting, that the month of January was dominated by hard news, in the form of the Giffords shooting.

Glenn Beck is many things but he is not hard news. And considering the nature of the news, perhaps it's not entirely surprising that viewers were clicking away ffrom Beck. Sometimes it's nice to be told the world is not ending.

-----------------------------

And let me add this, I think part of the ratings drop for Beck, is due to the fact that people are figuring out that Beck is just a right-wing con-man, who is using fear tactics to sucker stupid right-wingers into watching him.

People watch him for a while, then they find out nothing he says ever happens, then they figure out he is a liar and they stop watching. And in my opinion, Beck is milking it for everything he can, so that when his 15 minutes of fame are up he can retire a wealthy man and sit at home counting his money, as he laughs at all the suckers who bought the nonsense he was selling.

It's Official: Glenn Beck Has Lost His Mind
By: Steve - February 4, 2011 - 9:30am

These two audio reports prove it, first Beck uses some insane fear tactic that the world is going to melt down so you must use food storage, which just happens to be a sponsor of his show.

Beck said this: "The World Is Going To Melt Down And The Best Way To Keep Us From Being Enslaved Is To Store Food."

Then in the next audio the lunatic claims the left is working with the Muslim Extremists in Egypt. Beck said this: "The Left Is Working Hand In Hand With Muslim Extremists."

My God he is a nut, and if anyone who listens to Beck believes any of this insanity you are a fool.

Matthews Calls Out Beck For His Fear Tactics
By: Steve - February 3, 2011 - 8:30am

On the 2-2-11 Chris Matthews Show he called Beck out for his ridiculous and insane fear tactics, he said Beck is the #1 Exploiter Of Fear, and he is dead right.

My question is what took Matthews so long to see that Beck is nothing but a con-man, who uses fear to get rich off the suckers that watch him.

Beck Predicts End Of The World (Again)
By: Steve - February 1, 2011 - 9:30am

Here we go again folks, Beck is predicting the end of the world (part 121) because of the situation in Egypt. Beck says that an Alliance of Marxists and Islamic Radicals will Implode The Whole World. And dont just believe me, watch it yourself, here is the video.

To anyone who watches the Lunatic Glenn Beck, think about this, every time there is a situation anywhere in the world, Beck breaks out the fear card and says it's the end of the world as we know it.

And he is always wrong, because the world has not ended. What he does is scare the suckers who watch him into buying his con game. Open your eyes folks, Glenn Beck is a right-wing con man who only cares about one thing, making more money off the backs of the fools that believe his nonsense.
