Beck Attacked President Obama's 11 Year Old Daughter By: Steve - May 29, 2010 - 9:30am Before I show you what Beck said, think about this, Beck has a rule against using kids for political reasons. He said kids should be left alone and never used to attack someone for political reasons, that is his own rule. Then on Friday he broke his own rule, and later that day he even put out an apology for it. Glenn Beck, who repeatedly and angrily tells his alleged persecutors to "leave the families alone," spent a good chunk of his radio program Friday morning mocking and attacking the intelligence of President Obama's 11-year-old daughter, Malia. Obama remarked during his press conference that Malia asked him of the Gulf oil spill: "Did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?" Beck, taking off on this, mockingly affected Malia's voice, asking "Daddy" why he "hates black people so much." Then Beck attacked Malia's intelligence, saying: "That's the level of their education, that they're coming to -- they're coming to Daddy and saying, 'Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?'" This routine continued for several minutes, as Beck and his co-hosts touched on a variety of topics and laughed the entire time, all of it at the expense of an 11-year-old girl. BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy? Daddy? Daddy, did you plug the hole yet? Daddy? Not only did the low life scum smear the President's daughter, he was also being racist in his ridiculous attack. And here is the lame apology Beck put out later in the day. BECK: In discussing how President Obama uses children to shield himself from criticism, I broke my own rule about leaving kids out of political debates. The children of public figures should be left on the sidelines. It was a stupid mistake and I apologize--and as a dad I should have known better. And btw, the Beck apology is laughable. Because Beck involved Obama's children in another attack on the president earlier this week, comments Beck did not address in his apology Friday. Beck limited his apology to just "my own rule about leaving kids out of political debates." But he has repeatedly stated that entire families are off-limits -- and he has dragged President Obama's family into "political debates" several times over the past year. Good job Beck, not only are you a proven right-wing liar, who uses fear tactics to scare people, now you are lower than low, for attacking the President's 11 year old daughter. Glenn Beck's Two Weeks Of Fear Mongering By: Steve - May 28, 2010 - 9:00am Ben Dimiero at Media Matters wrote this story, it details the ridiculous fear mongering from Beck over the last two weeks. Here is the full article: Beck caps two weeks of violent fear mongering about progressives by warning that eventually "they just start shooting people" May 27, 2010 by Ben Dimiero Glenn Beck is in the fear mongering business, and business is booming. For the past year and a half, Beck has frequently warned his viewers about progressives' supposed penchant for resorting to violence. He spent pretty much the entire month of January doing this, culminating in a "documentary" linking progressives to some of history's greatest atrocities, enlightening his viewers to the supposed similarities between progressives and Hilter, Stalin and Mao. At the time, history professors labeled the film a "complete lie" that represented an "alternative universe" - which, of course, didn't stop Fox News from re-airing it in its entirety in March. Jump ahead to earlier this week, when, during a discussion of how we are headed to "dangerous places," Beck suggested that the government might use anti-terror policies - including assassination -- to target Tea Partiers. Well, Glenn Beck is apparently done hinting at the violence progressives are supposedly going to do to his viewers and listeners, and is now just outright saying it. Earlier today, Beck continued his recent fearmongering about the supposed "soft revolution" taking place in America (purportedly designed to silence voices like Beck's), and claimed that if the administration "can't get everyone to silence, that's when the arrests come, or that's when they start a hard revolution. That's when they start just shooting people." This is absurd, outrageous, and potentially dangerous -- and maybe not even the most insane thing he's said in the past two weeks. Starting with his dual speeches last weekend at Liberty University and the National Rifle Association, Beck's violent rhetoric has reached a fever pitch. During his tear-soaked, unhinged commencement speech at Liberty U, Beck told graduates that they "have a responsibility" to speak out, or "blood...will be on our hands." His advice for graduates (as well as his daughter) included "shoot to kill." He also claimed that God installed an "alarm bell" in people that is telling them that "your rights are being taken." If you were wondering which rights these might be, he cleared up any confusion later that night during his speech at the NRA, when Beck agreed with Mao that "power comes from the barrel of a gun" and then asked the audience "why do you think they want to take yours away?" Since then -- keep in mind we're just talking about the last two weeks here - Beck has done the following: -- While lauding the fact that he has supposedly accurately predicted so much of what is going on right now, Beck informed listeners that "what's coming is horrific. I don't even want to speak it out loud."Once again: that is all since last Monday. And after informing his listeners earlier today that eventually the administration will "start just shooting people," Beck stated that "lives are at stake." Beck frequently makes a show - or, more accurately, a mockery -- of Gandhi and civil rights leaders by stressing non-violence to his listeners. In March, Beck claimed that Obama was "poking and prodding" the "crazy tea baggers" to set them up to commit violence, but urged his viewers to resist. Keeping this in mind, I've got a question for Glenn Beck. Repeatedly over the last two weeks, you have praised your own ability to supposedly predict, with unerring accuracy, everything that is happening right now. When you transition from telling your viewers and listeners that you have so far been right about everything to telling them that the administration wants to silence, arrest, and shoot people while starting a second Civil War and that there "will be rivers of blood if we don't have values and principles," then what, exactly, would you say you are doing? Great Article On How Ridiculous Glenn Beck Is By: Steve - May 27, 2010 - 10:00am If you want to read a great article that goes into detail on how insane and ridiculous Glenn Beck is, just click the link below. It's an interview with Sara Robinson from Alternet and Alexander Zaitchik, who has a new book out on Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck Article The Author (Alexander Zaitchik) implies that Beck is a crying right-wing fearmongering fool, and the new Father Coughlin. Which I agree with 100 percent. Beck Shows Everyone What Scare Tactics Look Like By: Steve - May 26, 2010 - 9:00am Just last week Beck told O'Reilly that he never uses scare tactics, and that anyone who claims he does is a liar. Ok, so explain this. Call me crazy, but if you have a radio show, and you tell your listeners that President Obama is going to use anti-terrorism policies (including assassination) against members of the Tea Party, you are using scare tactics, and that is a fact. Especially when none of it is true, and you are using the lies to make Obama look bad. Glenn Beck Must Be Stopped Rally By: Steve - May 23, 2010 - 9:30am On August 28th, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and gave one of the most important speeches in American history. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in justice and equality, in a world that were all people were tolerant of each other. He was later assassinated for what he fought for, killed because of the power of his words. Now, 47 years later, Glenn Beck plans to stand on those same steps, on the same day, and defile Martin Luther King Jr's name. He plans to unravel his "plan" to RE-FOUND the United States. As Americans we should use our right, as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, to peacefully assemble. We should flood the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 27th at 12:01 am and sit there until August 29th, 12:01 am. We must peacefully prevent Glenn Beck from abusing Martin Luther King Jr. They have also created a facebook page for this event, and are willing to welcome anyone who is opposed to Glenn Beck appropriating and bastardizing the identity of Martin Luther King. Facebook Page They can also be found by searching for "Glenn Beck Must Be Stopped" It's Official: Beck Is A Proven Lying Right-Wing Fraud By: Steve - May 20, 2010 - 9:30am Think back to a few months ago, Glenn Beck said he is not a Republican, he is an American. He also said he does not endorse candidates, and that he is not part of the Republican movement, etc. etc. etc. Now we know for a fact that he was lying his right-wing ass off. While the Tea Party movement has tried to portray itself as organic and grassroots, it has had, in reality, several powerful, well-funded right-wing interests backing it up. Two of those have been Fox News host Glenn Beck and Dick Armey's corporate front group FreedomWorks. Beck regularly cheerleads for the protests, often broadcasts live from their events, and has even helped them raise money. FreedomWorks staffers have given valuable logistical and administrative astroturf support to the Tea Parties. Tuesday on its Twitter page, FreedomWorks announced that it was officially partnering with Beck. The tweet links to a video on the YouTube page of FreedomWorks Action -- the c4 advocacy arm of the organization -- of Beck explaining the partnership: BECK: I have to tell you, this was a hard decision for me to take on FreedomWorks, and here's why: because I don't want to send the message to you that the way to restore our republic is through the political process only. And I was afraid that you would hear FreedomWorks and you would say, Well, wait a minute, what does that mean? I think you do. I think you do. I think you need to get onto every bandwagon you can get onto right now.Beck joining FreedomWorks is a perfect marriage of their economic interests. Both groups are Tea Party profiteers, exploiting the fears of the conservative base to enrich themselves personally. FreedomWorks has made clear that it has a list of targets in the 2010 elections -- all of whom happen to be Democrats or Independents. The candidates the group is supporting are far-right conservatives like Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Pat Toomey. Despite the everyman, outsider image he likes to portray, Beck's partnership means that he will be working even closer with a bevy of right-wing DC insiders. Beck The FearMonger Strikes Again By: Steve - May 18, 2010 - 1:30pm In the past Glenn Beck has told Bill O'Reilly that he is not a fearmonger, and that anyone who says he is, is a liar. Okay, so then how does he explain these two statements. First Beck says what's coming is so horrific he can not even say it out loud, if that's not fearmongering what the hell is it. Then the crazy fool compares the Obama economy to the Titanic, and says you should prepare your Family and build life boats, whatever the hell that means. This is classic fearmongering, make people scared about what's coming, even though you can not say what it is, then tell them to prepare the Family and build life boats, without saying what they are to prepare for. It's fearmongering 101, from the guy who claims to never use any fearmongering. Beck Claims Obama Is Not Running The Country By: Steve - May 14, 2010 - 9:30am It's official, Glenn Beck has gone 100% into crazyland, now the right-wing con man idiot is saying Obama is not running the country, and that he has nothing to do with anything. That's it, in Beck's own words. If you needed an excuse to stop watching and listening to this right-wing con man, there it is. What kind of right-wing idiot says the President is not running the country, and that he is not doing anything, Glenn Beck. And if you watch this moron, you should be ashamed, he is a joke, and the laughing stock of America. Barack Obama is one of the smartest Presidents we have ever had, so if any President is running the country, he is. And what's funny is George W. Bush was the President who was not running the country, it was Dick Cheney. But Glenn Beck never said a word about that, even though everyone knew Cheney was running things, and that Bush was just a speech reader, and he could not even do that right. Beck Claims Unions Want To Overthrow America By: Steve - May 8, 2010 - 10:30am Glenn (Crazy) Beck strikes again, now he claims the Unions and the Communists are joining forces to overthrow America. Which is just ridiculous, and it's nothing but lies and right-wing propaganda. For anyone that does not know it, Glenn Beck is a con man. He is the male version of Ann Coulter, except he has his own show. All this crazy garbage he spews out is lies and he knows it, but he says it anyway to fire up the braindead right-wing viewers he has. I say Beck is crazy, but I mean crazy like a Fox. Because he knows exactly what he is doing, he is lying to the American people to make money and get famous. He figured out that you can get rich by saying Obama is the devil and he is in bed with Communists. But only because not so smart people on the right believe his propaganda. So think about this, if you watch Glenn Beck, or buy his books, you are a fool, and a victim of a con game. I would bet Glenn Beck does not even believe the garbage he spews out. He is just like those late night tv preachers who tell you to give them 25% of your income so God will love you. Then they fly around in private jets, ride in limos everywhere, and live in multi-million dollar mansions. Beck is the same thing, except he is preaching right-wing propaganda. Think about that, the next time you decide to watch Beck, behind closed doors he is laughing all the way to the bank at you, for being so stupid to believe his nonsense. |
