Newt Says Beck Could Destroy The Republican Party
By: Steve - October 29, 2009 - 9:20am

You know you are in bad shape when even Newt Gingrich says if Republicans follow Glenn Beck it might destroy the Republican party.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has been taking fire from conservative activists and far-right Republicans for endorsing Dede Scozzafava, the moderate GOP candidate running in the special election in New York's 23rd district. These purists -- including Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty, Dick Armey, and Bill Kristol -- are backing Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, revealing a rift within the conservative movement: the tea-party activist base versus Big Tent Republicans.

Gingrich explained his support for Scozzafava at a book signing event yesterday: "She is the nominee of the local party, my bias is to be for the nominee of the local party, and I don't second guess the local party."

On his Fox News program, Glenn Beck attacked Gingrich. "I couldn't disagree more with you on this one."

Greta Van Susteren asked Gingrich about the heat he's been getting for endorsing Scozzafava, especially from Beck. Gingrich fired back, saying the right-wing support for Hoffman is based on misinformation and an abandonment of conservative values:
GINGRICH: I just find it fascinating that my friends who claim to be against Washington having too much power, they claim to be in favor of the 10th Amendment giving states back their rights, they claim to favor local control and local authority, now they suddenly get local control and local authority in upstate New York, they don't like the outcome.

So I say to my many conservative friends who suddenly decided that whether they’re from Minnesota or Alaska or Texas, they know more than the upstate New York Republicans? I don't think so. And I don't think it's a good precedent.

So this idea that we're suddenly going to establish litmus tests, and all across the country, we're going to purge the party of anybody who doesn't agree with us 100 percent - that guarantees Obama's reelection. That guarantees Pelosi is Speaker for life. I mean, I think that is a very destructive model for the Republican Party.
Conservative bloggers are also going after Gingrich for lashing out at his critics, with Meghan McCain wrote, "I was disgusted just now to see Newt Gingrich's appearance on Greta Van Susteren." Newt Gingrich disappointed national conservatives again tonight, Gateway Pundit added.

Beck Caught Lying About The Public Option & Harry Reid
By: Steve - October 28, 2009 - 9:30am

Following reports that Senate leaders will include a public option in the health care bill, on Fox & Friends, Glenn Beck falsely suggested that only "35 percent of the population" support a public option and accused Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of lying when he said, "the public wants this." In fact, polling consistently shows broad support for the public option.

From the 10-27-09 Fox & Friends show:
BECK: Yeah, the public option is coming. I mean, I was driving in, I was listening in to you guys, and I thought to myself, when -- when in our history have we had 35 percent of the population for something, and they just jam it down your throats anyway? I mean, they're going to do what they want to do.

GRETCHEN CARLSON (co-host): They interesting this is, one of the sound bites from Harry Reid yesterday, though. He said "the public wants this." So --

BECK: Yeah.

CARLSON: -- you know, I mean, I guess it's just --

BECK: Well, you say a lie -- especially the bigger the lie, the easier it is to swallow -- you say it long enough -- I mean, that's why the name changed, too.
The only people lying are Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, and their friends at Fox News, because numerous polls have the majority of people in support of the public option.

Wash. Post/ABC poll: 57 percent support government plan "to compete with private health insurance plans."

CNN/Opinion Research: 61 percent favor creating public option "administered by the federal government."

CBS News: 62 percent favor government offering "a government administered health insurance plan."

Kaiser Family Foundation: 57 percent favor "creating a government-administered public health insurance option."

USA Today/Gallup: 50 percent support a "public, government-run insurance plan."

Birth Of A Blowhard: Glenn Beck
By: Steve - October 26, 2009 - 3:30pm

There is a great article about Glenn Beck you should all read from the hartfordadvocate.com website.

Birth of a Blowhard

Did Glenn Beck hatch his plan to become a right-wing radio megastar right here on Connecticut's airways?

By Gregory B. Hladky

You may want to vomit over his tearful on-air theatrics, wild-ass libertarian conspiracy theories and über-patriotic rants. You may be enraptured by his boy-next-door smile, self-deprecating humor, spiritual enthusiasm and take-no-prisoners conservative view of government (not to mention his claim that Barack Obama has a "deep-seated hatred" for white people).

Either way, you should understand the media monstrosity known as Glenn Beck was incubated right here in little old Connecticut. When Beck arrived at Hamden-based KC101 in early 1992, he was a semi-failed, drug-and-alcohol addicted, Top-40s radio jock desperately looking for a route to stardom.

By the time he left seven years later, Beck had figured out that talk radio was the future and the conservative shtick pioneered by Rush Limbaugh and others -- including a now-obscure Connecticut guy -- could be revamped to serve as his escalator to fame and fortune.

Glenn Beck Attacks Community Service As Un-American
By: Steve - October 26, 2009 - 1:30pm

This insanity from Beck proves he is a lunatic, what kind of idiot has a problem with people who volunteer to do community service, Glenn Beck, that's what kind. And he claims to support freedom, so if they decided to volunteer of their own free will, how can there be anything wrong with that.

Last week the crazy Glenn Beck said a television industry effort to promote volunteerism and service is somehow part of a communist plot by the Obama administration to stamp out capitalism and The American Way of Life.

BECK: "When you're watching TV this week, you might notice a common theme on some of your favorite TV shows: service and volunteerism." Beck was referring to the Entertainment Industry Foundation initiative in which more than 60 television shows will showcase the benefits of volunteerism.

BECK: "Not just public service announcements, but service and volunteerism will be worked into the plots...Your favorite character might volunteer at the dog shelter or at the park."

Beck said, "That's great, I just have one pesky question." Then he asked 3 questions, haha, moron.

BECK: "Are we running out of volunteers in this country? Are we trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist? Are we creating a problem that doesn't exist? Then, in his crazy man voice, Beck said, "or is it just a coincidence that all of this falls into line with President Obama's Corporation for National and Community Service."

And btw, the Corporation for National and Community Service was created in 1993. That's 15 years before Obama was even elected. Beck also failed to mention that the EIF program, called "I Participate" morphed out of a bi-partisan call to action by Barack Obama and John McCain when they were both running for president.

Beck went on to quote from the EIF memo. "President Obama has called for a new era of responsibility, recognition on the part of every American that we have duties to ourselves, our nation and world to serve others."

"Well this is fantastic," Beck said sarcastically. "We're living in Mao's China right now." He went on to mock Michelle Obama for recognizing the EIF for its initiative and saying, "It's gonna be a great thing."

Beck said, "Soon we can have 52 weeks of the White House just writing scripts telling us what we should all do." Of course, facts be damned, Beck never pointed to one example of the White House actually writing any scripts for anyone. Proving once again that he just makes this crap up to fire up his right-wing base and to get ratings.

Crazy Beck Now Claims Obama Is Going To Hurt FOX Supporters
By: Steve - October 22, 2009 - 9:50am

Beck is now in tin foil hat land, Following the White House's recent criticism of Fox News for its conservative slant, Glenn Beck and other conservative media have fearmongered that the Obama administration will harm Fox News and its supporters, maybe even physically harm them, because of their opposition to its policies. Since September alone, Beck has asked listeners to "pray for protection," compared Fox News to Jews during the Holocaust, and suggested the White House was pointing missiles at Fox News.

On his October 13 radio show, Beck said:
BECK: When they're done with Fox, and you decide to speak out on something. The old, 'first they came for the Jews, and I wasn't Jewish.' When you have a question, and you believe that something should be asked, they're a -- totally fine with you right now; they have no problem with you. When they're done with Fox and talk radio, do you really think they're going to leave you alone if you want to ask a tough question? Do you really think that a man who has never had to stand against tough questions and has as much power as he does -- do you really believe after he takes out the number one news network, do you really think that this man is then not going to turn on you? That you and your little organization is going to cause him any hesitation at all not to take you out?
Earth to Glenn Beck, take me to your leader. My God man you have lost it, please seek mental help, and fast. To the Glenn Beck lovers, do you actually belive president Obama is going to send out a gang of thugs to beat people up who disagree with him, if you do, get in line for mental help right behind Beck.

Beck's Goal: Take Down The Obama Administration
By: Steve - October 20, 2009 - 9:30am

Glenn Beck recently said his goal is to get everyone fired, and take down the Obama administration. Now imagine if Keith Olbermann had said that when Bush was in office, O'Reilly would call him an un-American traitor, yet Beck does it and O'Reilly says nothing.

Not to mention having Beck on his show every week for a regular segment. O'Reilly smeared Obama with Rev. Wright, he said it was guilt by association, and that you judge people by who they pal around with. So O'Reilly pals around with Glenn Beck, the guy who has a goal of taking down the Obama administration. Which makes O'Reilly just as bad as Beck for giving him a guest spot on his show every week.

And then they wonder why the White House is calling FOX News an arm of the Republican party. When you have on air anchors devoted to taking their administration down, it's pretty clear they are working for the Republican party, instead of being a fair and balanced news source. Just imagine what O'Reilly and Hannity would have said if Olbermann or Maddow had stated that they were in the business of taking the Bush administration down.

It's Official: Glenn beck Is A Lunatic
By: Steve - October 19, 2009 - 12:40pm

Now he has a phone on his show, it's a hotline direct to the White House. He claims everything he has ever said about Obama or anyone in the Obama administration is true, and that if it's not true they can call the hotline and correct him. So Beck sits by the phone waiting for them to call, and to this day they have not called him one time.

I have news for you, they are never going to call, so unplug the phone, your cheap publicity stunt has been a total failure, and it just makes you look insane. Beck even told O'Reilly that if they do not call to correct him it means everything he said is true. Which is so ridiculous I barely know where to start.

Here is an example, I say Glenn Beck is a traitor, and if he does not e-mail me to dispute that then it's true. That's how ridiculous his hotline phone is, the whole thing is just a big joke to get him publicity. How anyone can take this lying right-wing fool serious is beyond me.

SO IF BECK DOES NOT E-MAIL ME AND DENY HE IS A TRAITOR, THEN IT'S TRUE.

Not to mention, Beck is a proven liar, his lies are documented. So once you are proven to be a liar you have no credibility, yet 2.6 million fools tune in to him every night. Which proves the old saying is true, there is a sucker born every minute, and Beck has 2.6 million suckers who watch him every night.

Here is a message to anyone who watches Beck, you are a fool. Beck is a right-wing con man, he spins and lies 80% of the time to make people hate Obama and the Democrats. Almost nothing he says is true, once in a while he puts a little truth out, but most of the time it's all right-wing spin with all right-wing guests. Beck is basically a copy of Rush Limbaugh, except he is on tv, he is the tv version of Limbaugh.

Beck and Limbaugh make millions putting out right-wing propaganda to the Republican suckers who buy their garbage. It's all a con game, they are lying to you, to get famous and wealthy. In fact, I bet if you hooked Beck up to a lie detector machine, and asked him if he believes the spin he puts out he would fail if he said yes.

Beck and O'Reilly do the exact same thing, they both host a show on FOX where they spin out right-wing propaganda to get wealthy and famous. And it only works because they have 2.5 to 3.5 million right-wing suckers who believe their spin. Which is about 1% of the population, and without that 1% they would be out of business.

They basically run a con on 1% of the people, the 1% of right-wing fools in America who believe it, then they claim they are the best, because everyone is watching them and they are #1 and #2 in the ratings. It's the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen and heard.

Ratings do not equal truth, and to even claim that is insanity. WWE Raw wrestling on Monday night is the #1 rated show on cable tv, so they are #1, and the whole thing is fake, there is no truth to it at all, none, it's a big set up, and the whole show is scripted with actors who wrestle. They target a group of people to get ratings, which is exactly what Beck and O'Reilly do.

In closing, if you watch Glenn Beck you are part of the 1% of Americans who are just stupid. Because what Beck does is not journalism, it's total right-wing spin and propaganda, with almost no truth. It's the same as WWE Raw, Beck targets the 1% of suckers out there who believe anything. So if you watch him, you are a fool.

Beck Attacks Obama Adviser For Quoting Mao
By: Steve - October 16, 2009 - 1:40pm

Yesterday, the dishonest Glenn Beck escalated his war against the Obama administration, promising his audience that he was going to show them something that will melt your brain.
BECK: I'm going to ask you to do something I don't think I've asked you to do before. Stay the hour with me. Please, watch this hour. Call your friends. There is information that you're just not going to see anyplace else.
The only thing that melted my brain was watching Beck spew out this nonsense.

Beck's big surprise was a video of White House Communications Director Anita Dunn quoting Mao Zedong and calling him one of her favorite political philosophers, who she cites to deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices. Beck then used the video to connect Dunn to the millions of people Mao killed, saying this is her hero's work!

So in Beckworld if you quote someone, they are suddenly your hero, which is more ridiculous than him saying this information would melt your brain. Not to mention many Republicans have quoted Mao and Beck never said a word about them doing it, does he also think John McCain calls Mao his hero, because McCain has quoted him too.

The Washington Independent's Dave Weigel, noting the audience's laughter when Dunn praises both Mao and Mother Teresa as political philosophers, writes "it's a joke to everyone but the grim-faced Beck." Weigel then points out that Dunn is not the only prominent political figure to quote Mao in order to deliver a simple point, linking to a video of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) saying, "in the words of Chairman Mao, it's always darkest before it's totally black."

Media Matters notes that many prominent conservatives have cited Mao. Barry Goldwater adviser Stephen Shadegg said that he always followed "the advice of Mao Tse-tung" in the campaigns he ran. Strategist Ralph Reed has been quoted saying, "Mao Tse-Tung said politics is war without bloodshed. Clearly, there are some metaphors that sit nicely with politics."

Newt Gingrich even quoted Mao. Newt said, "War is politics with blood; politics is war without blood," citing the late Chinese Communist leader Mao Tse-tung. So Republicans do it all the time, and Beck says nothing, but when a Democrat quotes Mao, Beck claims he is her hero. Which is nothing but ridiculous right-wing propaganda.

Beck Claims What He Says Is True
By: Steve - October 14, 2009 - 11:40am

Even though he has been caught in many lies. Attacking White House communications director Anita Dunn for saying that Fox News is "undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House" and suggesting the network is not a "legitimate news organization," Glenn Beck said, "The things that we are saying have been checked out; they are true."

In fact, Beck has repeatedly made false statements in his witch hunt against Obama administration officials, such as calling Van Jones "a convicted felon" and claiming that Cass Sunstein "believes that everyone must be an organ donor."

Lie: On August 11th, Beck claimed Van Jones is a "convicted felon."

Fact: "Van Jones has never served time in any prison, and never been convicted of any crime."

Lie: On September 9th, Beck claimed Sunstein, head of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, "believes that everyone must be an organ donor.

Fact: In fact, Sunstein advocated for approaches to organ donation policies that "would be likely to save many lives while also preserving freedom" and did not advocate for mandatory organ donation.

Lie: On July 22nd, Beck claimed Holdren supported "forced abortion."

Fact: The website PolitiFact.com concluded that "the text of the book clearly does not support that. In fact, the authors make clear that they did not support coercive means of population control. Certainly, nowhere in the book do the authors advocate for forced abortions." PolitiFact ended its post on Beck's comments by stating, "We rate Beck's claim Pants on Fire!"

So as you can see Beck lies his ass off all the time. While he claims to have the best staff in the business, that almost never gets anything wrong. Which is the exact same thing O'Reilly said about his staff, then he said they could not find any racist statements by Rush Limbaugh. Which is also ridiculous, and it looks like they both have staffs that only find what they want to find.

Glenn Beck Proves His Dishonesty Once Again
By: Steve - October 10, 2009 - 9:40am |

Last Thursday Glenn Beck did his entire show about the swine flu shots. During the show Beck was suggesting the HINI vaccine may be "deadly." Even though he said he was not going to give an opinion on it, because he is not a doctor.
BECK: "I am not willing to go on the air with anything because one thing that you get wrong on this and it -- it can lead to a lot of death one way or another, you know? If you say, 'Don't take the swine flu vaccination,' and then it turns out that the swine flu wave is virulent and the vaccination would have helped, well then, you know, what role did I play in that? The opposite is true; I say, 'Everybody take the vaccination,' and that turns out to be deadly, what role did I play in that? I'm just not willing to do that."

Beck also said, " I want to you join me for a special show, an hour long special on the swine flu. I'm not going to give you my opinion on the swine flu. I don't think anybody but your doctor should give their opinion on the swine flu.
Beck is saying he will not give an opinion whether to take it or not, when he did, he said this on his radio show.
BECK: "I'd do the exact opposite of what the Homeland Security says." When his producer responded, "You're coming from such a skeptic viewpoint there. You're saying, you'd do the exact opposite of what Homeland Security tells you to do," Beck replied, "Only because I believe in -- you know, I think this thing is going to mutate. It hasn't mutated yet. So I'd rather have it now, just like in 1916. Those who got the flu in 1916 were the ones that survived 1918. So I'd rather have it now. I mean, here's my vaccination. Hey, everybody, it's a swine flu chicken pox party. Seriously."
Then Thursday night Beck was on the O'Reilly Factor, and O'Reilly called him nuts. Even Bill O'Reilly thinks Beck is nuts for scaring people about the swine flu shots. O'Reilly told Beck he was going to get one, and then he asked Beck if he was going to get it, Beck refused to answer. He said he might get it, and he might not. So after lying that he would not give an opinion on it, he says he might get one.

He goes on his radio and tv show and scares people about getting it, then he says he might just get it himself. But when asked if he would, he refuses to say if he will or not. Then O'Reilly calls him a nut, and says he will get one because it is totally safe.

David Brooks Exposes Beck & Limbaugh For All Talk Losers
By: Steve - October 9, 2009 - 9:30am |

I saw this great article today that was written a few days ago by the conservative David Brooks. In the article he details how idiots like Beck and Limbaugh only speak to a small fringe group of right-wing nuts in America, and how none of their insane talk has any effect on anything. Here is a little of it:

The Wizard of Beck

By DAVID BROOKS
Published: October 2, 2009

Let us take a trip back into history. Not ancient history. Recent history. It is the winter of 2007. The presidential primaries are approaching. The talk jocks like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and the rest are over the moon about Fred Thompson. They're weak at the knees at the thought of Mitt Romney. Meanwhile, they are hurling torrents of abuse at the unreliable deviationists: John McCain and Mike Huckabee.

Yet somehow, despite the fervor of the great microphone giants, the Thompson campaign flops like a fish. Despite the schoolgirl delight from the radio studios, the Romney campaign underperforms.

Meanwhile, Huckabee surges. Limbaugh attacks him, but social conservatives flock.

Along comes New Hampshire and McCain wins! Republican voters have not heeded their masters in the media. Before long, South Carolina looms as the crucial point of the race. The contest is effectively between Romney and McCain. The talk jocks are now in spittle-flecked furor. Day after day, whole programs are dedicated to hurling abuse at McCain and everybody ever associated with him. The jocks are threatening to unleash their angry millions.

Yet the imaginary armies do not materialize. McCain wins the South Carolina primary and goes on to win the nomination. The talk jocks can't even deliver the conservative voters who show up at Republican primaries. They can't even deliver South Carolina!

So what is the theme of our history lesson? It is a story of remarkable volume and utter weakness. It is the story of media mavens who claim to represent a hidden majority but who in fact represent a mere niche -- even in the Republican Party. It is a story as old as "The Wizard of Oz," of grand illusions and small men behind the curtain.

But, of course, we shouldn't be surprised by this story. Over the past few years the talk jocks have demonstrated their real-world weakness time and again. Back in 2006, they threatened to build a new majority on anti-immigration fervor. Republicans like J.D. Hayworth and Randy Graf, both of Arizona, built their House election campaigns under that banner. But these two didn't march to glory. Both lost their campaigns.

The Republican Party is unpopular because it's more interested in pleasing Rush's ghosts than actual people. The party is leaderless right now because nobody has the guts to step outside the rigid parameters enforced by the radio jocks and create a new party identity. The party is losing because it has adopted a radio entertainer's niche-building strategy, while abandoning the politician's coalition-building strategy.

The rise of Beck, Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and the rest has correlated almost perfectly with the decline of the G.O.P. But it's not because the talk jocks have real power. It's because they have illusory power, because Republicans hear the media mythology and fall for it every time.

Metropolitan Talent Management is 100% dedicated to not buy advertising on any part of Fox News." - Metropolitan Talent Management -- "We're no longer going to book any of his air time. I'm really glad to be informed of what you guys are doing." - Overture Films

More Beck Lies Exposed
By: Steve - October 6, 2009 - 9:20am |

Beck lies so much it's hard to keep up with them all. Last week Beck falsely claimed that Cass Sunstein, head of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, "believes that everyone must be an organ donor."

In fact, Sunstein and co-author Richard Thaler advocated for approaches to organ donation policies that "would be likely to save many lives while also preserving freedom" and did not advocate for mandatory organ donation. Beck and Fox Business host Eric Bolling have both identified Sunstein as targets in their witch hunt against people they have identified as Obama administration czars.

Beck also claimed that Sunstein said "you should not be able to remove rats from your home if it causes them any pain."

In fact, in the introduction to a book of essays he co-edited, Sunstein did not advocate against rat removal, he said, "At the very least, people should kill rats in a way that minimizes distress and suffering." Sunstein also stated that, from a utilitarian perspective, "if human beings are at risk of illness and disease from mosquitoes and rats, they have a strong justification for eliminating or relocating them."

Conservative Idiots Cheer Failed Olympic Bid
By: Steve - October 4, 2009 - 9:20am |

Answer this question, what kind of low-life Un-American piece of shit cheers America losing the 2016 Olympics, I'll tell you what kind, here is a partial list.
1) Glenn Beck
2) Lou Dobbs
3) Andrew Breitbart
4) Karl Rove
5) Matt Drudge
6) Michelle Malkin
And many more, these low life right-wing idiots actually cheered America losing the 2016 Olympics, why, simply because it makes President Obama look bad. They put a cheap partisan political attack ahead of the good of the country. Every single right-wing idiot that cheered it should be ashamed to be an American.

Glenn Beck was of course one of the worst:
On his radio program Friday, Beck said: Do not go anywhere. Don't -- do not look at the screen. Don't -- don't go to any other radio stations. Nothing. You don't want to hear this news -- I mean, please, please let me break this news to you. Oh, it's so sweet."

After a commercial break, Beck's producer stated that "the first round of voting is up for the Olympic games, and the first city" -- at which point Beck interrupted, saying, "Wait! Wait for it! Wait for it.

Enjoy this -- savor this moment." The producer continued, "And the first city to be eliminated is Chicago." Beck later asked his producer if Chicago's elimination was proof that Obama had failed.
Can you imagine what they would say if Bush had tried to get the Olympics and failed, then liberals cheered the failure. They would scream bloody murder, call liberals Un-American traitors and America hating socialist commies. They would call for them to be put on trial for sedition, then deported to Russia.

And yet, these low life right-wing scum cheer the fact that Chicago will not get the 2016 Olympics, which is about as Un-American as you can get. Especially during an economic recovery, because it was estimated the 2016 Olympics would have created up to 350,000 jobs, and generated $22 Billion dollars for the economy.

Whether you are a liberal or a conservative you should not put politics into the Olympics. You should be rooting for your country, not rooting against it. Cheering for losing the Olympics is not just political partisanship gone mad, it's Un-American. And any conservative who cheered it should put out a public apology, and be ashamed of what they did.

In reading about what conservatives did, I only saw one Republican who defended President Obama, and that was Joe Scarborough, he wrote this:
Count me as one conservative who is disappointed that President Obama's hometown will not be hosting the 2016 Olympic Games.

Chicago is a beautiful city that would have made a perfect backdrop for the Olympics. The President was right to fly to Copenhagen to try to land the games, not for the sake of his city, but for the good of his country.

The fact President Obama failed makes me respect him more for taking the chance, and the fact many right-wing figures opposed the President's mission shows just how narrow-minded partisanship makes us all.

What we saw from some conservative corners regarding the President's failed Olympics bid was just plain stupid. I'm happy for Rio and think it is past time that South America got a chance to host the Olympic Games.
Now I may not agree with Joe Scarborough on much, in fact, very little, but this time he is right. You can oppose President Obama for his policies, but when you turn into America haters, just to score cheap political points, you are low life scum in my book. Everyone should have been rooting for America to get the Olympics, no matter what political party the President is in, and if you dont, you are a bad American.

The Lies From Beck Are Endless
By: Steve - October 2, 2009 - 9:10am |

The White House blog (http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog) has called Beck out for his lies, in a reality check page they put out. Here are a few listings.

Tuesday night Fox News continued its disregard for the facts in an attempt to smear the Administration's efforts to win the Olympics for the United States. In the past, hosting the Olympics has been a source of pride and unity for the country, but once again Fox News' Glenn Beck program has shown that nothing is worthy of respect if it can be used as part of a partisan attack to boost ratings.

RHETORIC: BECK SAID VANCOUVER LOST $1 BILLION WHEN IT "HAD THE OLYMPICS." Glenn Beck said, "Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: VANCOUVER'S OLYMPICS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL 2010. Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games from February 12 – 28, 2010 and March 12-21, 2010, respectively. [Vancouver2010.com, accessed 9/29/09]

RHETORIC: VALERIE JARRETT "WAS LAST SEEN WITH THE NEA." Beck's guest, FOX News contributor Pat Caddell, said, "Obama is going to go to Copenhagen with Valerie Jarrett who was last seen with the NEA pumping up their use of, you know, money." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: VALERIE JARRETT WAS NOT ON THE NEA CONFERENCE CALL. Valerie Jarrett was not a participant in the August 10, 2009 United We Serve/NEA conference call.

RHETORIC: CHICAGO IS CLOSING THE GOVERNMENT SEVERAL DAYS A WEEK BECAUSE THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO BE OPEN. Beck's guest Pat Caddell said, "Chicago is closing the government several days a week because they cannot afford to be open. They are going to go and reward -- this is the biggest scandal." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: CHICAGO HAS HAD ONE REDUCED-SERVICE DAY IN 2009, AND WILL HAVE TWO MORE ON THE FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING AND ON CHRISTMAS EVE. City Hall, public libraries, health clinics and most city offices will be closed. Emergency service providers including police, firefighters and paramedics are working at full strength, but most services not directly related to public safety, including street sweeping, will not be provided.

As part of the 2009 budget, three reduced-service days were planned for 2009, days which are unpaid for all affected employees -- the Friday after Thanksgiving; Christmas Eve; and New Year's Eve. [CBS Chicago, 8/17/09]

RHETORIC: Beck asked, "Is it possible that she is going to benefit if the Olympics come to Chicago?" Caddell responded, "Well, that's the word. She has certainly had a lot of dealings going on in real estate." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: Valerie Jarrett divested all her investment real estate holdings upon entering government except for a single real estate holding that she was unable to sell. This single real estate investment has been determined by White House Counsel and the independent Office of Government Ethics to present no conflict of interest. It has nothing to do with the Olympic bid.

And remember this, Pat Caddell is put on the Glenn Beck show as a Democrat, on every show he is on Beck says he is a Democrat 2 or 3 times. Yet the man is a fraud, and he spews out as many right-wing lies as Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, or any of them. Calling Pat Caddell a Democrat, is like calling Obama a Republican. It's just ridiculous, and more proof that Beck and his entire show is nothing but dishonest right-wing garbage.

Beck Repeatedly Gets Basic Facts Wrong
By: Steve - October 1, 2009 - 12:20pm |

Glenn Beck has bragged that "my credibility means everything to me," and that he has "some of the biggest minds in America" on his research team "working harder than any staff ever on television" to get the truth out, but Beck frequently gets his facts wrong.

For instance, in recent weeks Beck has falsely claimed Van Jones was a convicted felon; repeated Andrew Breitbart's false claim that an online video showed community organizers from the Gamaliel Foundation praying to President Obama; claimed an obsolete constitutional provision protecting the slave trade applies to immigrants; and, most recently, claimed a Class of 2007 mosaic painted on tiles outside a California school was carried by G-20 protesters in Pittsburgh this week.
BECK: Now, there are a ton of bogus nonsense sources -- a ton of bogus emails and everything else circulating. My credibility means everything to me, so before we put anything on the radio show or Fox News, we check, we double-check, we triple-check. And even at times with all of that, with the resources that I have, we still get it wrong.
And if you believe that I have some land to sell you, real cheap. Here are just a few examples of Becks lies, and this is maybe 1% of the docummented lies I have seen Beck put out.

Beck falsely accused Van Jones of being a "convicted felon who spent six months in prison after the Rodney King beating." But as Eva Paterson, president and founder of the Equal Justice Society, has explained, "Van Jones has never served time in any prison. And he has never been convicted of any crime."

Beck jumped on the Breitbart story about community organizers "praying" to Obama, but Breitbart later walked back that claim. During the September 29 edition of his radio show, Beck asked executive producer Steve Burguiere to post the video "on the front page of GlennBeck.com" and to "make sure that it is also included in our email newsletter."

At one point, Beck suggested that the video participants were "just mocking God by faking a prayer to Obama." But Breitbart.tv updated the original post with an editor's note acknowledging that the crowd may, in fact, be saying "oh God" rather than "Obama." The Gamaliel Foundation subsequently stated that "at no time have we prayed to President Obama" and that in the video, the organizers "can be heard saying, 'Hear our cry oh God,' 'Deliver us oh God,' etc."

Beck falsely claimed the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Latif said "we were wrong" about global warming. On the September 22 broadcast of his radio show, Beck seized on a World Climate Conference presentation on short-term natural climate variability by Mojib Latif, a prominent climate modeler, to suggest that Latif has "backed out now and said, 'We were wrong' " about global warming.

In fact, Latif asserted that contrary to common "media" misperceptions of global warming as a "monotonic process" in which "each year is warmer than the preceding year," there are significant natural climate variations within the decadal timescale that do not change the "long-term warming trend."

Beck claimed G-20 protesters in Pittsburgh recently carried a hammer and sickle symbol. On September 29 Beck claimed that "the day after the premiere" of Michael Moore's new film, Capitalism: A Love Story, people were on the streets of Pittsburgh protesting the G-20 summit with this. Beck then aired an image of a hammer and sickle and read from the photo, "Oh, look at that 'Capitalism Will Fail' down there at the bottom."

But the image Beck aired was not from the G-20 protests in Pittsburgh. As FoxNews.com even reported, the image was a "Class of 2007" mosaic painted by eighth-graders on tiles outside a Berkeley, California, school.

Beck Caught Lying His Right-Wing Ass Off
By: Steve - October 1, 2009 - 10:30am |

Last weekend at the Beck rally in Seattle, one of his supporters was upset that a protester was carrying a sign saying Glenn Beck Lies. He wanted to know when Beck had ever lied. I'll tell you when scooter, every fricking day, that's when.

Lie #1, from the Tuesday show. In his opening rant, Beck talked about his Seattle trip, and opened up by pointing out that there were only about 40 protesters outside his Safeco Field speech. And that was pretty much true. But what Beck failed to mention is that up in Mount Vernon, at the main event, there were more than 500 people who showed up to protest him.

But that was just a small lie, no big deal. Here is the big lie, and man is it a whopper, oh and it's actually two lies. Beck said this:
BECK: Now they're worried about bombings taking place. Well, let me show you some new footage. A bombing did take place this past week in a town just north of Seattle called Everett. The only reason why I know this story is because I was there. Radio station KRKO, their towers were blown up. When freedom of speech is being squelched, the left usually says, "That's fascist!" But in this case the left doesn't even call them anything!
Wow, sounds terrible right, a right-wing radio station tower was blown up by liberals to supress their free speech rights. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! Nothing was bombed, and nobody was there to supress anyones free speech, in fact, there were no bombs, none, zero, and it had nothing to do with free speech. Some local people used a tractor to push the towers over, and it had nothing to do with free speech.

And btw, Beck claims to have the best researchers in the business who almost never get anything wrong. But he still got it all wrong, except the part about the towers being down. Local media reports had the whole story, Beck even quoted from the article on it at www.ktvb.com, yet he ignored this part, proving he lied on purpose. This is a quote from the same article Beck used to claim the towers were bombed:
"What they used was a machine called an excavator, it has a front arm off the front end of the machine. They stole it out of the yard," said Andy Skotdal, president and general manager of KRKO. "They went and attached it to the tower and pushed one of them over and pulled the other one down."
And the vandalism had nothing to do with free speech it was about the towers being a public nuisance. The towers have been at the center of controversy for years. There are four towers currently at the location and there have been plans to build two more towers. Opponents have claimed that AM radio waves can harm people and wildlife. More recently, nearby residents claim radio signals coming over home phone and intercom lines have increased since KRKO recently boosted its broadcasting power.

Just to be clear, nothing was bombed, and no bombs were used. And yet Glenn Beck goes on National TV and claims those radio station towers were bombed to supress their free speech. And this man claims to have a crack staff that never gets it wrong. When I could post here every day with numerous outright lies from Beck, the man is a walking, talking, lie machine.

Earth to Glenn Beck, you quoted the same article I did, that said the towers were pushed over with a tractor, yet you said they were bombed. That's called lying, and you are a liar. You are a proven liar, and the biggest fraud in the world of journalism. You should be ashamed to even cash your paycheck, you are a fraud, and a right-wing lunatic.
